the building and the recent overhaul are equally amazing, there's no doubt of that. unfortunately, it seems the kitchen was left behind. this was a great fine dining restaurant a few years ago, which then continued to slide down a sale descending into blandcolduneventful eating. i had high hopes for the reincarnated restaurant following last year's relaunch but the food tastes as if it had been chucked in the microwave from frozen then dragged across the floor before being slapped down on our table. dreadful, flavourless, completely miserable dining, with only the style of the surroundings trying to make up for the total lack of substance in the food. try again 'chef'.
