the place was beautiful and glam, but the afternoon tea that we had was very disappointing. sultana scones were dry, and the cream was over whipped, sandwiches similar as we can find in take away sandwich shop, egg and cheese. cakes taste, type and look cheap (banana bread, brownies, sponge with jam and coconut on top, and some round chocolate cake cut into 4 pcs and we got 2 :( green tea (took pic of the brand) that they use was horrible, no green tea taste & smell at all and basically just taste like lukewarm water, dont know if it is taste like that or the tea bag is old. service by the young lady was excellent but the older lady was so fake, i thought at first only me who realised that but actually my friend said the same thing after we went out. she act like she work in her own coffee shop or something as when she came to our table and ask how everything going, she was eating at the same time as she kept chewing, i mean she can at least finish it first then come, we felt it was rude for her to do it infront of us. asked her to take pic of us, she took 3, 2 of which my friend close his eyes and 1, half of my face was covered with the tray handle.. good job.

my friend and i stumbled on the corinthian club while making our way home from glasgow and decided to pop in for a drink. i'm really glad we did the place is stunning! the architecture and decor are amazing. i had a couple glasses of moët and chandon and my husband had a beer and soft drink. yes it's slightly pricey but you only get what you pay for and its worth it to sit in the beautiful surroundings in peace. it wasn't very busy as it was a sunday night and the staff were very nice, remembered our drinks second time around and gave us the guest wifi password. i noticed there was a casino (which excited the better half!) and restaurant which we plan on trying out when we return. recommend for drinks especially if looking to impress!

our latest review gives me the strangest feeling of déjà vu, because i am back in tellers brasserie at the corinthian club. this time instead of brunch with my hubby and little one, i’m out for dinner with my best buddy. some things remain the same, the friendly and attentive service and the stunning surroundings, but somethings are very different. the bright sunlit room i enjoyed brunch in takes on a very different atmosphere as evening approaches and dusk draws in. it is transformed into an even more sophisticated surrounding, the flickering candles serving to set the atmosphere, it is like having dinner in the ballroom scene from beauty & the beast.

the building and the recent overhaul are equally amazing, there's no doubt of that. unfortunately, it seems the kitchen was left behind. this was a great fine dining restaurant a few years ago, which then continued to slide down a sale descending into bland cold uneventful eating. i had high hopes for the reincarnated restaurant following last year's relaunch but the food tastes as if it had been chucked in the microwave from frozen then dragged across the floor before being slapped down on our table. dreadful, flavourless, completely miserable dining, with only the style of the surroundings trying to make up for the total lack of substance in the food. try again 'chef'.

certainly not the best restaurant in town! this is glasgow and the standards are high. wonderful building. menus have changed and standards certainly more 'value' engineered. food was 'ok' but certainly not at the standards it was previously, far less imaginative. staff seem harrased and drinks have the generic large company feel. however, above anything, was horrified to witness the 'manager' verbally abusing his staff! in public. didn't do much for the atmosphere, just made me want to leave. was sure the staff wouldn't see their tips either. horrible evening, stunning building.
