we’ve visited a few buffets during our stay in vegas. my favourites are spice market and the buffet at thebellagiohotel. i will let the photos do most of the talking for these two amazing buffet restaurants...

as a tourist we had to go to the famousbellagioof course and also tried their buffet. we were really amazed. even the food presentation was not so luxury, the quality was really good. they had a wide choice from meat to seafood and some delicious sides too. it is not the cheapest but was worth every dollar for us.

buffet at thebellagiois the best on the strip. the buffet offers a wide range of food variety in multi-cuisine. i tried it during breakfast. the seafood was the best, and there were many choices for dessert. the food was amazing.

critics say that the buffet at thebellagiois one of the best buffets on the vegas strip, that is if buffets are your thing. even if you’re not a buffet person, you will definitely find something tasty at this upscale buffet, which offers a wide variety of food across every cuisine imaginable. i tried the buffet during breakfast hours and was very impressed. the standouts include the juice options and creative egg dishes. overall, this is one i would go to just to say i did it!

while staying at thebellagio, i didn’t want to miss the buffet.went for an early dinner and were seated within 15 mins, our server cynthia was v friendly, efficient and made our dinner memorable.
there is a huge selection here to choose from. starting from salads, soups, meats, asian, italian, sushi, and my favorite the dessert section.
loved the pizza here and each dessert was made with care. the pastas were not so good, clumpy and overdone.

delicious! serving real king crab legs, big peeled shrimp and even caviar. the buffet atbellagiohas always been a favourite. desserts could be a little fancier. all non alcoholic drinks are self serve, so the servers do a lot less and kinda feels like a fancy cafeteria now.

finally! i found descent (albeit not outstanding) sushi at a las vegas buffet: at thebellagiosaturday dinner buffet. the sushi was better than at any other vegas buffet that i tried (see previous reviews). the saturday dinner buffet at thebellagioalso features "all you can eat caviar" which turned out to be a major disappointment for me. the caviar is extremely well guarded and is served in tiny quantities even when one asks for several servings. they make it such a pain to get the caviar, that it was not worth it for me. i also did not find their black american caviar to be as good as the varieties that i'm used to buying by the ounce. deserts were decent and apart from that and some of the sushi, i was not particularly impressed by much else. the environment (ambiance) was quite ordinary and somewhat disappointing but having my fill of salmon nigiri (which is my favorite nigiri) made it all worthwhile for me.

i have been to thebellagiobuffet a few times time over the years. however, the last was almost 10 years ago. when i saw their dinner price last week, i was shocked. how could this be? it was only $1 more than when i was last there 10 years ago. in today's vegas' buffet standard, it was unbelievable. as i had good experience withbellagioin the past and their desserts were outstanding, i wanted to bring my husband to try, i went ahead and i naively thought thatbellagiowould live up to its reputation.

we entered at 3:30 pm ( as we just woke up...hee...hee..), yes, it's already dinner prices, which was fine. omg, my first stop was the wagyu beef station as it was closest to my table, but they only got medium. they told me to go to the prime rib station and said it should be better. instead, it was well done!!!1 then, i was shocked by the gravy. it had a skin and all crusted and dried up on the sides of the gravy bowl. i tried to ignore it and next got shocked by the pasta. they were like being raided by 100 hungry teenagers after school....hours ago they were all dried and disgusting. the vegetables were even turning brown. without looking further and taking a bite, i told my husband we should get our money back and leave. i didn't feel that i should be eating others' stale leftovers from lunch in a restaurant while i was paying for dinner. the manager came and assured us if we came back in an hour, everything would be better. he then took our receipt. i was still native enough to believe that. we hang around in the casino for an hour and went back. god, nothing was better!!!! the wagyu beef was the same piece, but now it was more well done than before under the heat lamp. btw, i didn't even know if it's really wagyu as i never ate it. the prime rib was medium. they were still the ones from lunchtime!!!!!! again, i put down my plate immediately without even taking one bite, i just wanted to get my money back and leave.

i was enraged and felt like a fool. we wasted an hour and were hungry. i was more upset by the manager's promise than the food itself. if you couldn't do it, just say so. don't waste my time and give me false promise.

i visited thebellagiofor a friday night dinner. the service from start to finish was impeccable. i was most excited about the kobe beef, caviar, and alaska king crab legs. they were all absolutely amazing. even though i try to avoid sushi at most buffets, the quality of the sushi at thebellagiowould rival any high-end sushi restaurant. the desserts were not that great, but they were visually stunning. the only thing that i tasted that i would not go back for seconds for were the lamb chops.

if you are looking to experience exotic world food all under one roof, then the buffet at the bellagiois made for you. the spread that starts from salads , to sea food, japanese, to chinese, thai, to italian, and french to everything you can think of. the dessert menu is worth a glance and we tried quite a few. $75 for two with taxes is worth the spend for having the best of what the world has to offer. i went to this place with my husband on the very first day and experienced bliss.

the selection of stuff is good. a lot of delish veggies if you like to still eat your greens on vacation.
with that said though, after trying the wicked spoon for only 2$ extra (for dinner), thebellagiobuffet just couldn't compare. also we wait for more than one hour but at the wicked spoon we walked right in.
our server richard was fabulous though, he made our experience pretty darn memorable.

thebellagiois probably one of the most famous locations on the las vegas strip. whether it is renowned for the amazing dancing fountains or the glamour from danny & the boys from the oceans 11 trilogy, thebellagiois a must visit when travelling to sin city.
however, if your hunger takes over in between poker hands, may i suggest a trip down the road??? the fact that it was the buffet at thebellagioenticed us to line up to get in. after a bit of a wait (about 15minutes) we were in. the food was pretty sub-standard from the meat, to the sides & even desserts. applebee's even looked good over this place.
then came the service. these waitresses obviously get paid fairly well as they sure ain't pushing for tips.
please don't let the name ofbellagioentice you to enter the buffet doors, but if you must go, don't expect too much.

sorry for the lack of recent posts: one of my projects at work was literally taking over my life…..14 hour days, working weekends, calls from the client at 1am in the morning…you get the picture. anyway, as a way of saying thanks, my boss sent me out to las vegas for a “valuations course” (i know, right!). having heard so many wild stories about vegas, i didn’t quite know what to expect – particularly if i was meant to be studying for an exam! having spent a good few hours on wikitravel,   tripadvisor and a host of other tourist sites, i planned an itinerary for the 5 days that i was there. highlights included: thebellagiofountains a showing of la reve the volcano at the mirage a visit to old vegas (freemont street) the stratosphere bar and rides double frozen chocolate a serendipity 3 given that i live near gatwick, i took the virgin atlantic direct flight to vegas. although it wasn’t bad, i will definitely travel on ba next time: the food (felt like a school lunch), level of servic

i liked the service and most all the dishes i sampled at thebellagiobuffet but likened the experience to eating in a bus station full of chain smokers. i couldn't really enjoy the meal because of the unrelenting assault on all my other senses. standing in line to get in was like waiting for a ride at a theme park, but with acrid cigarette smoke from the nearby casino floor burning my eyes, nose, and throat. the din of the crowd was amplified as it bounced around the giant, unadorned dining rooms and tiled floors of the buffet space like what it sounds like to be in a bus station or on a nyc subway platform. the cafeteria-style sprawl of steam tables just didn't appeal to me as i expected something more like a royal caribbean cruise ship buffet. the staff were all wonderful and the cooks kept the food piled high and well stocked.
