love it!!. service is great, food is amazing. just an greatplaceto eat and have a good time!

a commonplacewe have gone to regularly with some unique brew options. here is how it went:

food:
nachos - tasted pretty good but could do with more cheese and maybe some flavor added to the salsa
grilled cheese - rather nice
brisket dinner - tasty although could have been only slightly more moist

service: everyone was nice and the food came in a decent time

ambiance: very nice and comfortable

bang for buck: pretty good

a satisfying experience.

best wings bar none. i have sung the praises of the brew kettle previously, but must add to that by mentioning the chicken wings. the evolution and progress of this snack in the american culinary consciousness is remarkable. relegated to the same ranking as the neckbone some decades ago, the recipe reputedly founded at the anchor bar in buffalo, new york has taken on such gargantuan proportions that it is almost inconceivable that poultry farmers aren't concocting a way to mutate the birds for more wings. hmmm... in any event, in my experience, the wings prepared at the kettle are exceptional. not deep fried in the traditional manner, it's the smoked taste and char grilling that set them apart. also appreciate that they are served as the full joint. the only draw back is the lack of rub or sauce choices. only 3 are available. but the taste is so good that i would consume them au naturel. paired with the kettle's "big woody" crafted beer and i would pitch a tent there forever.

bingo. experienced a great lunch on their burger special monday. this is aplacethat i am definitely wanting to try again for the beer and food. i can understand thisplaceprobably is hopping (no pun intended) in the evening and weekends. the site is large so service could be an issue. but when everything comes together, sometimes you have to wait for satisfaction. our server, becky, was knowledgeable and attentive. the only request we had was to change the bun on one of the burgers as it was too soggy. but that was likely caused by the juiciness of the burger. there is a delightful char to all the burgers and the slaw has a wonderful unique horseradish and dill bite to it. the beer selection is exceptional and there are a number of menu items i must try. the brew kettle passes my "i'll be back" test.
back twice since the original review. couple of notes. wings are fabulous if not a bit pricey. the tuesday special is $4.99 for approximately 5 full wings (not separated). had the chinese chili oil which is spicy without being torturous. the buffalo chicken wrap, however, was bland and dry, with a minimal dose of blue cheese dressing. wouldn't do it again. the grilled burrito with pulled pork was tremendous. had the jackhammer and grapefruit beer which can knock one for loop. still sold on thisplacefor service and quality though i may be a bit more selective on the menu.

reservations. planning a birthday get together with a party of 18, since brew kettle, according to their website, takes reservations. i decided to call and find out how far in advance a person is able to secure reservations. since our get together is in november, i decided to check around now, as we had issues before trying to find aplaceto accommodate us for a previous get together. what i am finding is that most places do not take reservations for friday or saturday's. seriously? who wants to plan a get together during the week or on a sunday? also, i feel that if you don't take reservations on the weekends, maybe you should post that on your website!! i was actually looking forward to trying thisplaceout. guess you just lost a future customer, i won't be coming here anytime soon.

awful beer & unfriendly service. first visit and last! hostess wasn't interested that it was our first time. did not welcome us...more like she was doing us a favor by taking our name for a table. once seated, waitress not knowledgeable in beer selections or tastes. the table and surrounding restaurant were filthy. we walked out before food was ordered. was looking forward to visit and great food. wanted it to really work out because i wanted to schedule beer/wine making parties for upcoming holiday season. we also wanted to have as another cool "local"placewe could bring friends and family to. it was more like a bad college bar you'd end up in at the end of a rough night. restaurant and beverage class areas dirty. shame.

thisplacenever fails to amaze... i have been here 3 times and i love it! best bbq in town! a must visit for everyone!

a destination!. this restaurant & brewery is awesome! i recently visted some friends in cleveland and they informed me we had to eat here! after eating here myself i see that it is absolutly a destination. the atmosphere and food is one of a kind! a must visit for everyone!

bad customer service. we have frequented this establishment approximately once a month for the past 5 years. 2 of us went for lunch today and arrived at 1pm. theplacewas packed but there were 4 empty tables. we were told there was a 10 min wait. we asked why the wait when there were empty tables and we were told those tables were "in case parties of 6 arrived". no one else was waiting for a table, just us. some of the 6 top tables could have been broken down for a 4 top or 2 top. but the hostess insisted she would not seat us. we left, went elsewhere and ate. on our way back from lunch we drove by the brew kettle about 45 mins later, the parking lot had about 5 cars in it so apparently they did not get "slammed" as they thought. we will not go back. they lost our business, "in case" they may get other business. poor management decision.

brewer. one of my favorite places to go. love the bbq spaghetti and the taps are always full of a wide variety of the best beers. also, brewing your own is always fun and you leave with a great beer. chris and pam have always been great and they do a great job of hiring. thisplaceis a 10 out of 10.

worth the wait.. thisplacehas become so popular that even after they've expanded it's still often a wait to get in. the chef there is amazing and comes up with some interesting and unique dishes for their menu. i love that about the place. very cool environment and the owners are so genuinely down-to-earth and friendly. i love going here. try the chicken sloppy joes or the bbq spaghetti. also i had some chicken and sweet potato soup there one day and it was amazingly good. be daring and try some things you've never heard of before. you'll be hooked for life.

food was tasty, portions were generous, and the food was served with a smile.
bar staff was informative and well versed on "beer speak".
i hate going to breweries and talking to bartenders who know nothing about beer.

good food and micro-brews. great food, incredible selection of micro brews with a large number brewed right on the premises. food is usually great and the menu includes such oddities as barbecue spaghetti and pulled pork salad but i usually have the gumbo and andouille sausage with a lusciously dark porter or crimson red amber. great daily specials and killer wings. i have been going here for a couple of years and theplacehas really caught fire and sadly crowds are now the norm so you should anticipate a wait at times and regrettably they do not take reservations. it can get moderately loud sometimes but hey it's a micro brew pub so that should not be unexpected. price are very reasonable and the servings heaping and plentiful. unfortunately service has been slow and spotty at times especially when it's busy which can be annoying but it hasn't gotten bad enough to keep me from going back yet. in short - good brews and good eats at a reasonable price

worst service ever. when we first arrived we were quoted a wait of 5-10 minutes and were finally seated after over 30 minutes of waiting as we were actually walking out the front door. theplacewas crowded and loud. the two of us sat and waited and waited and our server finally came to great us. she brought my boyfriend's drink and forgot mine, she brought his soup and forgot my salad, she seemed very attentive to his needs and not mine. the food, even his was slow. we could both tell that our entrees sat in the hot window for a while becasue they weren't fresh. we will never return!
