service was on point! super friendly staff! i visited saturday afternoon and evening and thestaffwere super helpful and engaging! food great! the pizza is to die for- try the lamb!

2nd time we have eaten in the borough. the first time we had a pizza about a month ago and they were excellent. this visit was a total contrast. thestafflooked like they did not want to be there. we got fish and chips, the fish was tasteless and the slaw was old and gray. the burger was soggy and poor quality. i have had an upset stomach since going. on the plus side. the chips were good and the beer was good. thestaffwere not interested on our comments. a disappointing lunch. we are moving to tawa later in the year and found a good thai and indian restaurant but the borough let the town down.

a great little place in a sleepy suburb.
went to the borough for lunch on a monday and when we walked in we couldn't believe how busy it was. lots of people and a really good ambiance and all thestafflooked busy.
first of all the restaurant area is spaced well and decorated exceptionally.
staff are really friendly and great outdoor seating available out back with a play area for the kids. very rare to find a place this family friendly these days.
we ordered a smoked salmon rittelle and a buttermilk fried chicken burger. both meals cooked fresh and promptly served.
salmon dish was not what i was expecting but was really quite tasty. chicken burger is something i will be having again.
price was around usual for a standard cafe and personally i think reasonable enough given what a great experience we had.

will i return - most definitely. (can't wait to try the dinner menu)

tip - join the social club rewards program and earn rewards points when dining here and many other restaurants in the wellington region. essentially a 10% rebate on money spent at these restaurants which accumulates and can be redeemed at any restaurant with the social club rewards program when certain targets have been met.

very cool place. always busy yetstaffare welcoming and attentive. enjoy going for a beer or a lunch down here - only downside i find is the menu is very limited and a tad over priced. apart from that its very nice.

we went last night (tuesday 30/01/18) and had the worst experience.  it was stinking hot, doors were wide open - most of the punters were fanning themselves with the menu - but not one cs person offered anyone a fan.  the food was over spiced with lemon, nothing balanced.  the salsa verde with the salmon was awful - the mussels were like rubber as they were overcooked - the spiced cauliflower was under-cooked so that the florets were raw.  after letting them know on facebook - that is when i learnt there were fans available if i had asked - how do you ask for something you don't know is on offer?  don't come to this place - theirstaffare great - but the chef needs to learn to taste his food before letting it out of his kitchen.  we will never go back, there are better places to spend $120 at.

visited here last night for a work do, just had a couple of drinks and a few pizza's between us all. very tasty, but the pulled pork pizza was very spicy, my mouth was burning a bit, loved the vegetarian one though. the dough on them was so soft and light. delish. 
thestaffwere very nice and friendly, and there was a guy in the corner playing the guitar and singing, awesome. nice place but not if you want a good conversation as the place was heaving, and every one was talking and having a good time, hahaha. i will definitely be back.
