i attended a tasting evening at the bistro this week and was able to take a sneak peek of its upcoming iftar buffet. 

priced at 170 dhs per head, it provides guests with a fair selection of arabic and international specialties. 

the busybuffetwas refilled frequently and kept tidy and neat throughout the evening with great attention to detail – kuddos to the bistro team! it’s a quality rarely seen in most buffets these days.

the quality of the food was pretty basic (nothing blew me away...) but was expected given the price range and venue - courtyard by marriott is the mid-range brand of the marriott international chain.

overall, the bistro offers an attractive price tag for a cozy iftar. i can see it become very popular spot among the local neighbourhood.

i went there over 4 times, first time was in ramadan and all the rest were firday brunches with family and friends and every time i go there i love the place more and more. this place deserves a visit, starting with the starters which has wide range of everything and although thebuffetis not that big but serves many tastes for different ppl and i live their chocolate pudding never miss it! also they have a kids area which is convenient for anyone with kids. i would recommend this place based on its food quality and their great team. thanks for making my visit always perfect

marriot bistro - good vibe restaurant of marriot. we had a great iftarbuffetparty organised in bistro. their menu is awesome. suitable for everyone in the group. more about continental and arabic.

they got good dinning space. decors are in classic presentation. they have all good food good service. what else you expect. off-course hospitality is the key factor for all five star range restaurants.

they have array of salads, pastries, arabic sweets ( kunaffa and baklava ) only sweet names know from arabic sweets.

live prawns , shawarma , grill and mutton also was there. mutton mandi was also nice.

it was a total worth unlimited iftarbuffetdeal.

i decided to come here because of the great experience i've had with courtyard marriott in kochi, india. though i did learn after visiting the place that this is a 4star and not a 5star like the one i've been to.

we visited on a saturday afternoon, also because it was my wife's birthday. the moment you enter you are greeted by the buffet, as the stations have been setup close to the entrance. then they have this huge seating area behind it with plenty of sofa seating, so it doesn't feel cramped one bit. i chose to use the entertainer voucher, and was even given the option of their promotional rate of aed75/person net. thebuffetis laid out in such a way that it feels small, but it isn't really. however, keep in mind to visit their brunch on friday afternoon, tuesday evening and thursday evening when the spread is bigger.

when i initially saw the buffet, i was a bit sceptical. we decided to stick around since the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, but the food took us completely by surprise. it's the first time i've had abuffetwhere the food didn't feel like it came from a buffet. the cajun chicken was soft and succulent throughout our time there, i'd pick it every time i did my rounds, and it was consistent each time. the potato wedges were crispy, the beef was tender, the salads were really good. mr. amit who was in charge at noon even offered to get us additional items from the kitchen to our liking if anything interested us, also specially catering to the kids needs. even when i suggested there needed to be more desserts, he gladly offered to get us a dessert platter off the menu, but we kindly refused as the available desserts were really good and satisfying. it was good to see a restaurant go out of their way to please a customer.

overall, we had such a good time when we were there. though the items may have felt limited, it felt easier since we weren't bombarded with too many choices, and each item held it's own that we came back for seconds more than once. there wasn't one item that my wife and i disagreed on saying it wasn't good. kudos to the chefs on such an amazing job. a big thanks to florence and the team for pulling a surprise on my wife with the birthday cake and song routine. also to mahesh who tended to us the whole time.

valentine's day buffet-almost all of the food incredibly tasty

we've been here for valentine's day buffet, price 150 aed and we used entertainer so as a price it was worth it. the restaurant looks nice and interesting, but the tables kinda crowded (placed too close each one by the other).
for the food, they had many types of dishes: arabic (chicken kabsa- so good my favorite dish from their buffet), indian (biryani and chicken chettinad-which i liked it a lot), asian (tempura, dim sum), turkey, lamb stew (really good), starters like salads and hummus, sea food (oysters, prawns, baby octopus) and tuna with pesto (amazing taste), tomato soup (delicious), grill on the spot (so good), stir fry (very tasty and nice) and some other dishes like vegetables or mash potatoes.

as a minus: they didn't had cheese, any type at all :(, nor pasta, which is strange because all of thebuffetshould have it. for desserts they had quite large selections but only two of them were tasty (praline cream and black forest cream. the red velvet and the sticky pudding were soooo sweet omg.

staff was very nice and active, so even it was a very crowded evening, they managed to be at the required expectations.

overall was tasty food so this is what is matters, but as a price per person 150 aed is quite much because of the mentioned minuses.

good variety, a lot of cuisines to try from, constantly refilling and great desert. i think all of us are looking for this.

we had been here for midweek brunch on our anniversary. we had made reservations beforehand and mentioned as vegetarians specifically.
thebuffetspread is good for a non vegetarian, especially given the low price.
the staff was extremely friendly and very attentive to us. i would rate the food at 4/5.
they prepared us extra dishes apart from thebuffetas there was only one veg options.
not much dessert options compared to other restaurants, but umm ali and sticky pudding was delicious.
would definitely recommend this place for a quiet and enjoyable dinner.

this was a big disappointment. was here for a business lunch. location and ambience were very good. the spread/options onbuffetwere very limited. they tried to keep a mix of different cuisine but ended up not having enough of any. specially if you have abuffetand only serve 1-2 main course dishes and 1 rice dish is poor. some of the starters like pakora, spicy patato , fish were ok. luckily the desserts were a saviour specially chocolate pudding. staff were helpful and kind. having said, the cost is comparatively cheaper than other similar places.

everything in thebuffettasted great! from the mains to the salads... soup and desserts... great job!!! will come back again.. highly recomended!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

this is the second time in a week period we visit bistrow restuarant over a thursday night brunch for a very simple reason , as this place is full with customer oriented staff that pamper you from the time you enter the place till you pay your bill ! we were overwhelmed with the sincere service of sankat and florence as both were doing their best to make us feel comfortable , furthermore the seafood night is outstanding and mouthwatering . this is the best thursday nightbuffetby all means and a place that need to be visited so often ...

it was last may 11,2017  when we we're invited for the iftar preview at bistro restaurant at courtyard marriott. you can enjoy their affordable iftarbuffetfrom various arabic dishes from cold mezzeh & hot mezzeh to main dishes and desserts. it is quite spacious and has some private areas. nothing special on thebuffetand i believe there is still more room for improvement.

this place i can say is one of the great place for a buffet, aside from their very affordable price, their food has wide array to choose from wherein we really enjoyed.though i think their schedule forbuffetis just 2x per week ( tuesday and thursday) it is really worth the wait. service is also warmth and servers were so pleasant and accomodating.surely be we will be here over and over again. superb experience!

i lived there for around 2 weeks and was having regular breakfast there. the breakfast is good actually really good.i had ramadan iftar dinner here as well. somehow the iftar dinnerbuffetdidn't lived upto the mark i was hoping for. there were alot of items but no particular item would be satisfying my hunger. keep it up guys. i know you can do better.

why to wait for a brunch on friday - bistro at the courtyard marriott is serving a mid week brunch on a tuesday evening for a very affordable price with wide range of offerings - thoroughly enjoyed the service - great people more importantly great food. what else do you need during a mid-week? must try this wide range ofbuffetat the centre of the city.

midweek's night brunch is how they called their dinnerbuffetwhich happens to fall on tuesday. marketing gimmick, yes but it works. don't expect vast spread ofbuffetbut it just enough to fill our tummy. arabic appetizer done great, need some work on the seafood and cold station. had a lovely beans and tomato soup which tasted similar with chili con carne. tried the thai beef curry which tasted like indonesian rendang and the roast beef was excellent as it doesn't have the strong aroma it usually does. best chocolate pudding, the rest of desserts are okay. staff are friendly but not intrusive. the decor is simple yet attractive, evoke homey feeling.
