small but fun.

the brunch here at bistro in the courtyard marriott is a good one albeit it a bit smaller than the other brunch around. don't let that stop you though. the food is delicious and the staff are lovely. there is a pasta station, raw bar, bread bar, salads and sushi along with meats, curries and asian dishes. the place is kid friendly so don't expect loud music, instead expect families and a quieter time.

the deserts are especially great.

the food is tasty, well prepared and presented... pop along and try a quieter, more laid back brunch.

buffet's are really enticing as you can see so much variety at one place, the bistro can be listed one among those. the selection of food is very good. i especially loved the deserts.  baked yoghurt and tiramisu were really mouthwatering and i still remember its taste.

we went for the dinner buffet here and this place does not disappoint... with a big selection of dishes and intent of the chef to serve hot food the experience was amazing... and the deserts was to die for...

during our stay at courtyard by marriott in world trade center, abu dhabi, we were booked to enjoy their friday brunch. after a lazy morning, we headed downstairs around halfway through the brunch and were seated in one of the booth tables. i love the decor of the restaurant. its mainly colored with a dark bronze and has splashes of lime green; its lively and gorgeous!

after ordering fresh watermelon juice, we headed over to check out the buffet selection. most of the dishes are placed on the island-kitchen area thats in the center of the restaurant. you see the chefs freshly prepare the dishes.

being that its december, the whole restaurant has christmas-inspired decor. there’s gingerbread houses and holiday-themed ornaments placed all over the buffet area.

there’s a variety of starters, including salads, ceviches, cold cut meats and even cold seafood appetizers including crab legs, lobster, calamari, clams and a delicious seared scallop topped with caramelized onions. the scallop is definitely a must-try!

along with that, there’s a long display of arabic starters including hummus, stuffed vine leaves, fattoush, a unique beetroot mouttabel and so much more.

the spread of mains, (although it may not look like it when you first get there), is extensive!

there’s slow roasted beef, a live pasta-cooking station, a shawarma station, jumbo grilled prawns, dimsum, freshly made pizzas, different kinds of rice and noodles, a whole table for breads of all kinds, etc. what really impressed me was that there were many different dishes from several kinds of cuisines including arabic, western, italian asian and indian.

i really loved the braised beef; it was so tender and juicy. to go with it, there are different vegetables and even a selection of jus and gravy.

what’s great about this brunch is that there’s also a room for kids to play in. it’s an open room, and you can even be seated and have your meal there in case you need to keep a close eye your little ones.

now, for desserts– there’s a huge spread of cakes, mousses, baked yogurts, cookies, fresh fruits, cupcakes, specially made chocolates, tiramisu, and even the traditional arabic desserts including umm ali and baklava. the chocolate mousse is so divine and you just cannot leave the brunch without trying this one, even if your full off of all the starters and mains.

there are three things that i especially loved about this brunch. first of all, its very laid back and family-friendly, so you don’t have to get super dressed up if you don’t feel like it. secondly, the variety of the food is a lot more than what i initially expected when we came in and the quality is good as well. thirdly, i love when there’s a good brunch happening at the same hotel we’re staying in because once your done stuffing yourself, you can just take an elevator right back upstairs to your room and relax. and that’s exactly what we did!

the friday brunch at bistro restaurant is 157 dhs inclusive of soft drinks and fresh juices.

cute place, little bit empty a the time we went there (2tables). service was alright, we went there for a laaate lunch. i had a salmon quiche, which was crunchy but yet still bit heavy, came w some side salad, the presentation of both of the dishes was great. loved the woodenboard and the glass jars of salad, my habibi had a chicken sw, crunchy fresh also tasty. we had some cheese fries to share. the fries were too dry for my taste and not much yummy even w the cheese on top (dry? wrong cheese?) orange juice and lemon mint came in two tiny glasses, which basicially felt like a rip off, as not only did it taste very watery (both drinks) but was ao tiny that 22 and 24dhs just didnt feel right for it.
all in all a good lunch, might want to come there again to try some other options such as coffee and sweets.

stayed here for almost a month, ate at the the bistro for most of my meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner - except of course when i was out. the spread is usually pretty exhaustive, they have a good mix of cuisines with some indian, arabic and continental food normally. the spread for dessert is massive too, must definitely have put on quite a bit of weight during my stay here. can recommend the friday brunch here :)

dad and i were planning for a friday brunch for the past few days and concluded that we dine here. plus, it's the birthday of my boyfriend.

so, it happens to be eid brunch, therefore most of the food were indian and arabic. there were breads, different salads, arabic appetizers, beef kababs, chicken tikka, grilled shrimp, biryani, live shawarma station, manakish, lasagna, mashed potato, chicken tikka, fried noodles, prawn crackers, thai curry, braised beef - somehow like osso bucco or mechado (for filipinos), and of course, dessert. i wasn't able to take photos of the main courses but the desserts looked so fine! there were a few choices of cakes, most of them were arabic sweets, there were choices of sliced fruits, and my most favorite will be the chocolate fondue. ❤️ arabic sweets were good too.

had about 5 or 6 plates only due to the limited choices of food due to the type of cuisines, but to be honest, we enjoyed.

the staff were accommodating and friendly, ambiance is relaxing, people started to come in by 130pm to 2pm while we were there since 1230pm, and food on display was nicely prepared.

i've been there today for iftar, gotta say the setting and decor of the restaurant is nice however the buffet setting itself was a bit all over the place and a bit confusing but i guess that's how it is with buffets.

staff are extremely friendly and the experience was wonderful.

food wise, there was a fair variety of food, i specially lived the grilled shrimps definitely one of the best parts of the buffet, the presentation of the food itself was excellent, taste however was mediocre.

dessert menu was diverse but out of maybe 10 different types only 3 actually tasted really good.

again i say in ramadan and in buffets in ramadan specially you can never judge because the quality of the food is different and usually not as good as during normal days. for the price of 120 i think it's fair enough though.

i would definitely be happy to revisit this place after ramadan.

valet parking is available for free for restaurant customers.
