our "go-to" thai restaurant. thai spice has consistently good food with plenty of veg and vegan options. the menu is big enough where anyone could find something they like, even more typical chinese dishes. with all the fresh vegetables, i never feel bloated and guilty after dining here.

what a gem! the food is fresh and delicious. love the jasmine milk bubble tea. they have a lot of interesting other flavors too. i make the thirty minute drive to eat here pretty often, definitely worth it.

the food is amazing. summer rolls, tom yum soup and celery tofu... if the obnoxious group of women (10 plus) weren't in here, the visit would have been just about perfect.

2nd visit. another bland tasteless entree. i want to like this place. the staff is pleasent. the decor is nice. the service is good. my first visit provided bland and boring entress for me and my date. figuring i would give it another try i went with friends and specifically ordered something listed as hot from the menu. and it was bland and flavorless. the question is do i give them a third chance or simply go to one of the west sides other thai resteraunts. and i think that there are better places to spend my money.

restaurant reviewer. thai spice is a terrific find. not only is its thai cuisine true to form, its kitchen deftly blends in appealing takes on vietnamese and a few chinese items. veteran new york city restaurant reviewer bob lape (wcbs radio, crain's new york business) is so smitten with its clean, flavorful
cooking, engaging service and attractive setting that he'll make his third visit in ten days. siam ribs (under $7 as appetizer) is killer, fall-off-the-bone good in tangy barbecue sauce. lemongrass soup and pad thai are required eating, and for sheer fun, be sure to try the fruit-and-tapioca-laced bubble teas, and even fried coconut ice cream. thai spice westlake deserves a much bigger audience than it has.

friendly service, cozy atmosphere and quality food. my husband and i moved to westlake recently from new york city and have not had our favorite thai food since we had left so we thought we would research in our neighborhood. we came across thai spice and loved it! the service was warm and friendly. i had excellent hot ginger tea served with my own tea pot and tea cup and i enjoyed a healthy portion of the "ginger" dish with shrimp under their "pan fried dishes". the meal was excellent and they were able to give me brown rice with my meal instead of white which was great! my husband had the green curry with chicken and brown rice and raved about it as well. we both love a fair amount of spice and these meals, especially the green curry, offered it.

the best pad thai. thai spice has the best pad thai. unlike many other thai restaurants i have visited, it comes with lots of vegetables. i have also enjoyed a number of their other dishes including the green curry. i look forward to eating there any time i am in the area. the only drawback can be the hours. the last time i was there, which was a saturday, they were not open for lunch.

the staff is friendly, welcoming, and efficient.

worst pad thai i have ever had.. i ordered chicken pad thai, the dancing squid, and a spring roll appetizer. the pad thai was absolutely horrible. it was very dry and the chicken was burnt. there was also burnt egg, like when you scrape the egg off a pan. i ordered chicken pad thai, yet had 3 shrimp in my food.

the dancing squid was okay. it didn't really do much for me positively or negatively. the best thing i had was the sauce that came with the spring rolls.

i don't normall write reviews, but i was so turned off by this food, i felt obligated. will never go here again.

great vegetarian selection. this is a nice gem hidden in a strip mall in westlake. there is tons of vegetarian options, and the portion size is generous.

the summer spring rolls are tasty, as are their curries - and there is a myriad to choose from!

the prices are very fair, but the dining room could be a bit cleaner/less gloomy.

anyhow, we will come back to enjoy more thai food...

right around the corner!. and thank goodness it's so close. i got there for take out often and absolutely adore it! i've had pho all over cleveland and none of them come close to the wonderful flavors they pack in a bowl of theirs. everything we've gotten there has been delicious- the duck has wonderfully crispy skin, the squid is tender, and the bubble tea...well i'm completely addicted! and let me tell you, i hate coconut with a passion but i tried a bite of their homemade ice cream and i'm a convert (at least for their ice cream!) go there! seriously...you won't regret it!

nice place. waiter was very nice. i had lemongrass soup and the thai string beans with chicken (added tofu also)and at first i did not think it would be enough food but it was more than enough. i wanted to order something other than the customary pad thai. the thai sauce that was in the dish was very rich and a little spicy but not that much. the green beans in the dish were fresh and crisp overall good dinner.i would go back and maybe next time i will have some bubble tea.

meh.. my wife and i went to thai spice on a sunday afternoon, with friends. some of the (deep fried) appetizers arrived lukewarm rather than hot. flavorings were oversweet and underwhelming. worse, the service was ridiculously slow; we waited a long time for the appetizers to arrive, then another long while for the entrees to arrive after the appetizers were finished. when the waitress collected our plates at the end of the meal, we indicated we wanted to order desserts. it took her about 20 minutes to bring us the menu so we could choose a dessert. then another long while before she came back to take the dessert order. finally we found ourselves staring at our empty plates for another 20 minutes while we waited for the check. she kept apologizing, apparently aware she'd been slow, but the service didn't get any better. altogether it took nearly 3 hours to get in and out of there, and they weren't even busy.

i want to like this place. some of the food is quite good, but some of these lapses are getting into my inexcusable zone. i doubt i'll go back.

call before you go. two weeks ago on a sunday i attempted to go to thai spice. we arrived at 3pm, as this is what their website and restaurant door listed as the opening time. however, there was no sign of life anywhere. we waited 15 minutes and still nothing. we decided to leave hungry.

despite its name, thai spice serves authentic vietnamese cuisine in addition to authentic thai dishes. it is here you can get an order of traditional pad thai and a bowl of pho in the same place
