poor quality. poor service. go elsewhere.. i went to thaigingerin redmond town center for the first time last week during the noon hour. (i spent a number of years in thailand, primarily in chiang mai. my thai isn't great, but it's sufficient to know when the staff is making jokes at the expense of the customers.) the tamarind scallops were decent but lacking in tangy tamarind flavor. the condiments were greasy. the rice was low quality and cold, definitely not "jasmine rice" as advertised. the service was surly and rude. the restaurant was no longer crowded but i had to go to the staff several times to order tea, ask for additional tamarind sauce (not forthcoming), water, etc. my companion is handicapped, so i took it upon myself to get up and ask for help, the additional items, etc., when the server should have come to our table on his own. he ignored all signals for assistance. finally, i got up and spoke to four employees, including our server, who were gossiping nearby. i mentioned that i thought that the service was rude and that i was embarrassed for them, for my companion, and for myself. no response, not even to a traditional thai "wai," ไหว้. there is a lot of competition in the thai food market, restaurants that are more authentic, less expensive, and friendly. the thaigingerredmond employees acted as if they have a captive clientele. i suggest going elsewhere.
