4.75 actually. this cosy littlerestauranttucked away in bayswater probably has the most authentic thai cooking in perth. whereas other thai restaurants tend in my opinion to sometimes bend towards western tastebuds, esarn thankfully does not. the tom yam gung soup in particular was delicious. the service is just nicely attentive without being intrusive. i would happily go again. recommended

this gem of arestaurantis well worth a visit. the staff are warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the service is efficient and speedy. the food is delicious and the menu is extensive enough to cater to all tastes. it is justifiably very popular as it is well patronised for both sit-down and takeaway. don't miss thai esarn.

best thai food in perth. i lived in the area a couple of years ago when i found out about this amazing thai restaurant. the food is seriously amazing, price is great and the service reminds me of the land of smiles. i now live forty mins from therestaurantbut still travel for the best thai in perth!

disappointed take-away. i ordered take away from this place this evening and i was disappointed with the quantity of the dishes. two container (chicken basil stir fry and nam tok pork) was half full and pawpaw salad was 3 quarter full. i rung therestaurantand spoke to a staff member and told her about the disappointment of the dishes i ordered. she said the serving were correct then she asked what i want her to do. so i asked her if she can put some more into the container but she said no!
she was in a hurry and said she will call me back but she never did!
in my opinion, the price were too high for the quality and quantity i received from this restaurant. i went to many different thairestaurantand in comparison i found thisrestaurantto be below average. i would not go back there again....

perfect suburban thai. just an unpretentious neighbourhood thairestaurantwith lovely staff and great dishes at fair prices. love it.

if you find anything is not going right, you can ask or tell our staffs, so we can fix it right away. that would be our appreciate.

• stuffed chicken wings, we do apologize for any improperly cooked. we noted to beware for that.
• tom yum soup, we have 2 sizes, entrée size which is enough for 1 people or main size which is double size & double price, but enough for 2 or 3 people to share.
• som tum, we cooking it with exactly way to cook & serve in thailand. som tum is a kind of spicy papaya cold salad, but we understand that some people might be not get used to it.
however, we noted for your comment & keep trying to improve it. please come to visit us next time, thai esarnrestaurantis ready to serve you.

i really like thisrestaurantwith yummy food and nice staffs. i gonna come back again^_^

reel thai food. once a week my wife and i get takeaway from thisthairestaurantand diner there too love the food fantastic service great staff i recommend it!

a hidden gem in bayswater - thai esarnrestaurantis a place i would never have visited by accident. it’s a trek from my house and in a seedy area, but i’d happily risk having my windscreens smashed. this blog post is long overdue and a compilation of 2 or 3 different dinners.

refreshingly thai flavours. lead by the earlier reviews i came to the esarn just 1 trainstop from where i was staying whilst on a course in perth.

yes its a typically unassuming restaurant, modest decor with soothing thai music in the background.

my mixed entree was the same as i had at a thairestaurantthe previous night 1 station in the other direction. similar prices and serving sizes but i think overall captured the thai flavours better.

the main i chose was a deep fried fish in a red curry with thai spices. pla lard prik. normally i would not go for a fried fish but it was definitely not oily and slightly hot. the serving was generous enough to forego the sweets i had contemplated. the two young thai couples sitting beside me with their thai chatter added to the authenticity of the meal at no extra cost and confirmed the locals gave it the thumbs up as well.


ummm... one more night in perth - maybe i will try an esarn dish tomorrow night!
