not worth the money. based on reviews, word of mouth, and the hefty price tag my expectations were high. the salad bar selection was ok, but the presentation was terrible! i couldn't see half the items due to lack of lighting and what has to be one of the most overly obstructive sneeze guards ever. service was definitely lacking. we had our reservations for over a month and we were taken to our table right away upon arrival, but when we got there it was set up for only 4 instead of our 6. the host scrambled to add two more chairs and settings to the 4 top instead of just taking us to a larger table, of which there were plenty. our server was friendly but kept forgetting things, understandable on a busy night but it was not busy at all. we were half way through the meal before she remembered to have our mashed potatoes and bananas brought out. we had to ask for the desert tray twice. the majority of the meats were well prepared and tasted very good, but i just did not enjoy the whole roving gaucho aspect and never knowing what was coming around when. i think the thing that annoyed me the most about the whole dinner was the beverages. sodas were brought out in small 8 ounce bottles that were $3 a piece! and of course each one was an additional charge; at $45 dollars a head i think they can well afford to have sodas with complimentary refills, or at least serve a 12 ounce soda in the first place. i am usually not so stringent, but considering the price i was expecting to be wowed, and that did not happen. for what we spent at texas de brazil, we could have easily gone to some place like reatta and had a much nicer meal with far better service.

gluttony at its finest. i don't think i have ever consumed more food in one meal in my life (including thanksgivings) don't go to crazy on the salad bar, not that it's bad, but you will really want to save room for the meat. everything is savory, well cooked, tender and delicious. service is top notch. it is expensive, but really worth every penny, because it's not just a meal it really is an experience that you will remember.

anyway, texas de brazil is something else and definitely worth checking out. my advice, take it easy on the salad bar and save room for all the savory meats. there was offered various cuts of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, bacon wrapped meats, breaded meats, sausage, ribs… it’s pretty insane. definitely come hungry!

always pleasant!. great experience, again! the service is impeccable, friendly and very professional! one of our favorite places when we visit downtown fort worth. the meats are packed with flavor and the buffet salad bar is still one of the best with so many unique choices. try a dessert at the end of your meal, even if you need to have it packaged to go, outstanding!

what happened to the salad bar?. the salad bar at texas de brazil used to be top notch, not memorable. if you can believe it, i used to go to this carnivore heaven and get just the salad bar. they had these great cippolini onions marinated in balsamic, well they don't have them anymore. then the olives used to be really good quality, now they are just canned green and black olives. it's not that the salad bar is bad, it just isn't good. the shimp pico used to be the bomb, well they don't have it anymore, and they haven't for some time.

the all you can eat meat is still a good treat (not great but good) and i will continue to dine here, i just will only do it when there is a special running or during restaurant week.

the wait staff is always first class!

meat!. it's all about the meat. don't get me wrong the salad bar is great and all, but the meat is what it's all about. great carrot cake too, though i found a hair in mine once.

never a bad experience.. if my husband and i have an opportunity to go out without the kids, this is where we go. in fact, we make sure to go often because the food is delicious, the atmosphere is perfect and the service is outstanding.

took a wonderful lady friend there on valentines. the wait was pretty bad. however, once we were seated. it was fantastic service. 42.50 a plate... all you can eat!! and the next day they called me, said sorry about the wait and mailed me a $50 gift certificate. made up for the wait. however, the wait just game me more time with a special person.

four new fans. i took three guests from the convention i am attending this week after selecting this restaurant from urbanspoon. all of us had wanted to try this type of fare, but none had. we were all impressed at everything. two travel often and wanted this site so they could find other outstanding dining experiences like this. all four loved everything from the selections and flavors on the salad bar to the desert offering.

once again urbanspoon came through for me and we all have this chain of restaurants on our bucket lists.

lunch is the way to go. my boyfriend and i went for a friday lunch and were only disappointed that we weren't super hungry. the sausages were pretty greasy, as is to be expected, but all of the meat cuts we had were great - my favorite was the lamb and garlic sirloin. the salad bar was also very good. along with standard salad bar items, they had tabouleh, shrimp salad, grilled peppers, soft cheeses, rice, beans, button mushrooms, soup and several sauces including chimichurri which was great with the lamb!
if you haven't been before and get the chance, try to go for lunch. it costs about half as much as dinner but with all of the same options so you can try everything and not overfill yourself without paying a lot. we would definitely go back for lunch or dinner and make sure we're twice as hungry so we can eat our fill.

great food! not fogo... while i really enjoyed it at these places go i still recommend fogo de chow. service, salad bar, and the frequency of choice cuts of meat are better at fogo.
