temporada

so glad i finally dined at temporada. a small, dim venue with a really good centre bar vibe. tables were small and cosy and theservicewas really lovely and super personal. prawn dish was wonderful, well cooked and seasoned yet not filling. presentation was gorgeous and the greens were delicious. good selection of drinks, fairly pricey.

goodservice(especially rory), great food (bone mallow 👍🏽, burrata 👍🏽, parfait 👍🏽) good selection of beer and wine (even a feral brew from wa!).

inspired by adventures in winterland ‘s brunch posts i headed to try out temporada myself. sadly only open from breakfast until 11:30am weekdays, it is a lovely spot with greatserviceand ambiance. for a light breakfast the sour cherry toast with cultured butter and jams $8 is a good choice.

i can’t believe this was my first visit to temporada! i caught up with bec for breakfast, and we both admired the sleek, elegant decor. i ordered the baked eggs with pork sausage and pistachio dukkah ($15) – when it came out with two thick slices of toast with real butter on them (swoon) and topped with parsley and dill, i was very pleased with my choice! the ramekin didn’t look very full, but the dish was deceptively filling. the eggs were just a tad past runny, and were nicely seasoned – this was the bulk of the dish. the pork sausages had fabulous flavour, and there was a good serving of them in the ramekin – it was nice to have a variant on the traditional chorizo option. but what really lifted this dish was the pistachio dukkah. dukkah is one of my favourite things, and this one was superb, with plenty of huge pistachio chunks and a great blend of spices that complemented the rest of the dish perfectly. temporada has excellentserviceand faced with a slight mix up at the till, the staff dealt with it quickly and professionally. on a cold canberra morning, there’s really nothing more you could want.

excellent food,serviceand atmosphere and at a reasonable price. only had as couple of nights in canberra and very glad i got to try temporada!

had a fantastic dinner here. they get in some great oysters. great menu to pick and share through,serviceon point. suprised it's the same guys from aubergine as i couldn't stand to go there due to the consistently patronisingserviceso glad the game's been improved

great food,serviceand wine list. have been here a few time for friend's birthdays and the staff have always been great - really knowledgable and accomodating to the odd food allergy. have always shared meals and enjoyed everything we have tried. lovely desserts and mocktails too - always a plus!

pleasant evening at temporada that started out wonderful in terms of food andservicethat both dwindled by the end of the night bordering on poor (inattentive staff, overcharged, very average bbq octopus salad). all in all, average. i would go again but not in a hurry. beef rib sliders were the stand out dish and i could eat many in a row.

excellent food and a great atmosphere. we dined at temporada on a saturday night after 8pm and found theserviceto be fantastic. we were greeted upon entry and quickly seated having made on online booking earlier in the day when searching for a tapas style restaurant. the staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. the centre bar area is very entertaining to watch but it is not disruptive to quiet conversation as the layout of the tables along the walls preserves each table’s privacy.

drinks were the charlie chaplin cobbler and cold brew coffee on ice both of which were delicious. we ordered coffin bay oysters and split the quantity 50/50 natural and wood fired, suffice to say that a previous reviewer was quite correct that wood fired are delicious almost more so than natural. accompany this with the sour dough bread and homemade butter and you are experiencing something that is simple but delightful.

we then tried the pigs head roll and the beef short rib roll. these are pint sized burgers filled with succulent meat and perfectly mated salad and dressings.

we then decided to try the raw kingfish and the goat’s cheese and roasted vegetable terrine. the kingfish was beautifully fresh and delicate with a buttery taste in the mouth, perfectly complimented by the sharpness of the radish and the avocado. the goat’s cheese and roasted vegetable terrine is very morish with the goat’s cheese being surrounded by layers of roasted vegetables. the more robust flavours of the vegetables were nicely complimented by the goat’s cheese, which in our case played well against the king fish.

first night in canberra. i've read a lot about this restaurant and am excited to go. low and behold theserviceis shocking. we are seated at the bar and not once are we asked by a waiter nor bar staff if we would like to order, making us need to wave down staff for service. lucky the food was good. we shared the lamb and some salads and the gnocchi with the lamb was delightful. again, staff took much to long to clear our plates and as we left no one saw us to the door nor thanked us for our patronage. food was good but wouldn't go back solely because of the lazy service.

food was fantastic! had the beef roll and the meat was so so tender. fennel & blood orange salad was delicious.servicewas fantastic and decor/atmosphere was lovely

absolutely delicious. a slight hiccup waiting for our wagu was quickly remedied with a complimentary lamb ribs- delicious! seamlessserviceotherwise, highly reccomend.

great food, nice but rookie staff. have to agree with kadots.
the food was excellent. loved the wood fired oysters!
unfortunately, something was awry.
the music was eclectic and ill-suited, the staff were a tad under-trained(but helpfull!), the place just felt a little flat.
i understand this is a relatively new restaurant but they should have someone running the show, who knows what they are doing helping the young staff deliver aservicethat matches the price.

the wine list here is sensational
vin jaune by the glass! fantastic oysters, delicious buns, scrumptious ribs. my friend wasn't keen on his spatchcock but that could just have been him.servicepretty good.

canberra food scene reaches new heights. very impressive.serviceis top notch, obliging and attentive. food was exquisite. must try now is the lamb ribs and the salted caramel donut for dessert. extensive selection of wines. fabulous ambience. just excellent.
