tea pot - mayfair lagoon

went there while i was staying there for a weekend. tried both their buffet breakfast and lunch.

breakfast was good. lots of options. one of the good buffet places in bhubaneswar to have breakfast, if not the best.

buffet lunch was a big letdown. barring the fish and the usual tandoor items, nothing stood out. prawns were cooked in coconut oil, which i despise. mutton was not succulent and was under cooked.

ambience wise it's is definitely the best.
they need to work on their buffet lunch. lots of better options like hotel crown.

went out for the sunday brunch and boy you have to admit that they have made it big.. over 100 different items..starting from juice to bread, sandwiches to tandoor, pasta to beer, south indian to kolkata biryani everything on the card.. and taste was too good for many items where as some items was not upto the mark. but if u r a true food lover, u will be happy with their menu spread.
the best was live grill section with grilled fish, tandoori chicken. pasta, salads,hyderabadi biryani, manchurian were few good dishes. u can avoid momos, kolkata style biryani and soups. but the show stopper was "prawn in white sauce"..
truly an amazing experience.

the place was really nice, great variety of food. the menu was awesome and from my recommendation do try their german silk cake, it was lips smacking. probably the best chocolate dessert i have ever had, and believe me i have had a good share of desserts. the staff is also very helping and ambience is very good.

i heard a lot about this place and when i came back to bbsr i went in, first thing you notice is the ambience,it's good,the staffs are way cooler than any other place in bbsr but when i came to the food i was bit disappointed, coz there is like no wow factor in it,ok types.@

we have been here on 4th may 2019 just after fani cyclone...it was rush....we had ordered 4plate idly 1 plate vada one masala dosa and one rawa dosa..we asked for chole bhature but their staff denied to give but strange infront of us people who came after us and asked for chole bhature they provided them. any ways after waiting for a v long time they gave our order one by one but i was shocked when i just started to take my first bite of idly i found white rice worm inside it...i immediately called their staff and showed them and they replaced and gave mini idlies but my point was they were using the same unhealthy batter. after some time we spoke to their manager regarding this and he called the chef and asked him to remove the batter i am not sure whether they really removed it or not. we were surprised to see this in a 5 star hotel. we have been a lot of time to the other restaurants in may fair but have never faced like this. after coming from there we took medicines to prevent any stomach upset. though they didnt charge our bill but my point is for health... they are using out dated stuffs. i have visited lot of 5star hotels n restaurants in india but have never got this kind of unhealthy food

extremely overpriced.they serve standard continental fare and both buffet and a la carte options throughout the day.they also throw in a few desi items in the mix. the staff,service and ambience are really good unfortunately the food is not. the view is pretty from the outdoor terrace seating during the day so do visit if you want a relaxed,quiet spot to dine out at which is a rarity in bhubaneshwar.
would however recommend the fish and chips.

a very nice place to hang out with family and friends, superb ambience but a lil bit over priced.
i loved their pasta and the fresh juices. even the buffet spread is pretty decent.
definitely a must visit place in bhubaneswar when food taste is more important than the price.

one of the most lavish buffets in city, this place is a must go. they also have a-la-carté menu, which is a mixture of selected items from all the other mayfair restaurants. the ambience is superb, with both indoor & outdoor sitting. highly recommended 👍

it's a delight. omg. the food is orgasmic. from the soup to the starters to the prawns. food is love. maybe i'm still high from their food last night. next is there hospitality, as if they are not a restaurant it feels like home. the chef was so great.

it is a bit difficult to write a review since this consists of 2 parts.
my family had gone for a bduffdo er dinner without me  and their comments were

ambience: great
service: good
food: average,
price: reasonable for the buffer

general comment was that the food was unimaginative

they packed a chicken burger with fries for me as a parcel
quality of burger -> awful
meat was bad and under cooked.
in place of french fries they had packed 2 packets of lay chips (the explanation given when i phone was that fries get soggy so they had taken the initiative  to spare me the agony of eating soggy fries and given me potato wafers as a substitute. 

in case you do go to mayfair, do avoid the burgers like poison. it will surely knock you out. i was forced to eat it since it was quite late and i did not have any other eating option. i did complain on phone and someone said they would call back but did not.

overall the buffet seems to be okay though expectations might not be met viz a viz the poshness of the place.

not a place i would like to go again even though it seems to be one of bhubaneshwars better places.

i went to tea pot for lunch buffet with my family. the ambience is as usual the best here and the food was even awesome. but i felt the menu was somewhat limited. basic items were missing like there was no mutton, crab in either main course/starters and there was no prawn starters either. it was mostly different dishes of chicken and fish. but whatever was there in the menu was no doubt the best. good experience, but i would recommend to make slight changes in the menu & add a few more items for an even better experience!

i have tried the buffet here....first coming to the ambience its superb...the outdoor seating is appealing...the service is awesome and staff is very polite and helping...the lunch buffet is worth the price...
          the starters include salads,tandoori and fish orelli which was yum the fish was soft and the coating crunchy..it was the star..i had countless servings of it....the prawn is good...the main course has a lavish variety starting from noodles to pasta to rice to what not..they provide biryani and have chicken,mutton,fish and prawn in non veg...
     the deserts were yumm...they had cakes,dahi,rasgulla,bengali sandesh wich melted in my mouth n melted my heart as well...the chenna kheer was the show stopper..the dahi and tart was average..try the coffee mousse only if you love coffee a lot...otherwise go for the strawberry mousse..this place serves complimentary drinks..u can order cold drinks or beer or even coffee..the buffet is a must try...the money is worth it ...must for all the foodies..will leave you satisfied for days...

great ambience.. but quality of food isn't really that great.. not upto expectation.. food in mayfair has never impressed me though but i just don't get it why don't they improve their taste..

nothing is good about this place. the menu is very very limited. 18% tax on the bill. once the item is finished, there is no policy of refill. when i arrived , desrt section was looking good. in some time all the desrts were replaced with kheer and other items which you can not touch. very very disappointing 😞

nothing was good in my visit. leaving the ambiance everything is v bad. cheap food quality n v bad taste. very less non veg items that to the taste of that is v bad , very salty. never going to visit again.
