went there a couple of times and it never ceases to impress.
the breakfast buffet is a lavish spread ranging from indian vada, dosas to sandwiches, burgers, pancakes and what not. add that to salads and fresh juices.
recently went on a sunday brunch there and it's really impressive. they had a live pasta and grill station and a wide spread including delicious starters, main course food of indian, chinese, thai cuisine and great desserts. the brunch is a must try for all foodies. however one may find it crowdy on sundays.
full points for the ambience and service.

visit : the car parking for mayfair is outside and hence it will be a problem if it rains. they do not have valet parking, and may hand over a broken umbrella at the drop point for you to use. with the recent thunderstorms, it may be wise to carry an umbrella with you when you visit this mayfair. if you are from a metro, you may be puzzled to know that even such "hi-fi" hotels in bhubaneswar do not have valet parking!!!
the second issue that we had as a group of 12 is that the reservations were lost. so it may be wise to record your phone conversations.
overall for customer service on arrival: shoddy being in mayfair gives this restaurant a special edge - you can enjoy the awesome decoration and arts installed.
food: the food for the buffet was okay. there were more veg items than non-veg, which may be disappointing to many. the food quality was good. service was also good. the deserts had variety and tasted well too.
overall for food: good.

i had been patiently waiting for so long to try it's breakfast buffet and after having done it previously this month i'm all set to tell you all what exactly is my take on it.
mayfair is just a brand framed to fool it's customers.
the buffet was pathetic so was your service. in a city like bhubaneswar if you are charging the brains off of people, they expect a good outcome of the money spent.
fish fingers w tartar sauce was made of an obviously not fresh fish, boiled eggs which made no sense because there was already a live chef section specially for eggs, baked beans which were not boiled properly, waffles which had gone cold by the time they arrived to the table, on asking upon cream i was given maple syrup and on asking upon honey i was given chocolate sauce. there was no cream by the way, the milkshake tasted so terrible, it wasn't thick nor sufficiently sweet or flavoured and tasted more like dygiene or gelusil. the momos were not steamed properly, nor properly captioned because there was a veg and non veg caption alternating each time i went there. no hash browns , potatoes with herbs were hard. the choles had not boiled properly, bhaturas were hard, the mishti doi was also distasteful as it tasted a bit sour. so basically i paid 800 bucks for pancakes , sausages , a few desserts and an omelette and not to mention the ambience. a waste of money honestly. too disappointed. the service was pathetic. it was like we came for breakfast buffet having lost our minds because that buffet was fine for those who stay there rest us local joes having have to pay a decent sum land up becoming fools.

posh would be under  statement! visited teapot after ages catching up with school friends! and mayfair has only  improved! soft music, amazing food! we tried few fish dishes here! loved it! chilly fish if i remember well! soups are yum!  also if i remember well tried some corn dish, which is just epic! small appetizer. service is super, its like you are well taken  care  of! waiters are polished and elegant! tea pot has outdoors as well! which feels like you in nature! mayfair property is just the place to visit when in bhubaneswar! i mean it will pinch your pocket!  but well ! which % star doesnt?
:)
cheers!

went for buffet at teapot with a team of 15 people. food was really good and so was the service.
mayfair lived up to its expectations :)
however, options for veggies could be increased (like barbeque nations).

though the lasagna we ordered did not taste as good as the previous one i had before in kolkata, the ambience kind of compensated to the entire scenario. the staff was well mannered too!

it is know as one of the costliest restaurant in bhubaneswar. i have been here 3-4 times, but it's doesn’t have a ex-factor. every time i have gone for a buffet. it's veg section has very less dishes to serve, just two types of soups, and no juice at all. coming on the other side, it has wide range of desserts to offer and believe me they all taste delicious. taste is good but not pocket friendly. ambience was at it's best.

when i heard the breakfast buffet at teapot is supposed to be a must-try for anybody who stays here, i had high expectations and finally got to check it out.

the interiors made me fall in love with the place. the lushy greens, the artificial lake and the fountain, the tasteful decor and the corners filled with exclusive artefacts- it was love at first sight but sadly it couldn't keep up after that.

the spread was pretty big and had everything from continental, north indian, south indian etc. there were salads, croissants, finger food like mini burgers, potato wedges, dhoklas sauted vegetables, pastries etc. eggs, pancakes and dosas are made to order. so after having sampled literally everything they had to offer here's my pick-

must try:
1. cheese and mushroom omlette - it is an open kitchen and the chef is pretty friendly. you can go all out and customise your omelette the way you want it and i liked this the best
2. pancakes with maple syrup - hot pancakes with a drizzle of butter giving the little saltiness and maple syrup make the best breakfast combination
3. salads and juices - all varieites of freshly cut fruit, sprouts and vegetables are on display and you can handtoss your salad the way you like. only wish they had a choice of sauces as well.

avoid:
1. chocolate mud cake - this felt more of mud and less of chocolate. one bite and we could feel the staleness. not sure how old it was.
2. scrambled eggs - tasted and looked watery. total let-down.
3. mini burger and sandwich - stale and hard. the lesser said, the better
4. oats porridge - so bland and tasteless that i had to drink the entire glass of water to gulp it down forcefully.

the rest of the food stands upto pretty much what we expect from a place of such repute - nothing more, nothing less.

a heads up about the extremely rude staff. they are in a rush to clear your plates even before you get your spoon/fork off it. you request for some juice and all you get is those really cold vibes asking to let them know in one go if anything else is required.

for the premium price of 700 inr, a much better service level and quality is expected.
overall, lot of potential but lots of improvement needed as well

i went to the much talked about breakfast buffet of bhubaneswar. but in my opinion it's just an average place. i agree the spread is quite big. from numerous breads to waffles, from sausages to sandwiches, from south indian dishes to variety of fruits, from coffee to desserts. at first it may appear wow. but slowly the reality sets in. first the plus points - filter coffee is awesome, try the upma, vada, dhokla. nice variety of chutneys. sweet curd and gajar ka halwa was yummy. the ambience will ofcurz be great. the staff will take feedback abt the food. now the negatives - its not a great place for non veg lovers. fish tempura had the non veg smell. chicken sausages were too hard to eat. and sandwiches are not worth it. the bread is just not soft. the momo was inedible. the chocolate pastry was tasting sour so i guess it was stale. bread items are not great there. the masala omlette had no salt. the staff handed over the bill to us midway between our course. what does that mean? should we just pay n leave. they wanted to clear the plates n glasses even before we had finished. so if you are paying and not getting the same worth of food and service is a let down.
