taste of thai

great!. i love the service, the food is great every single time. i noticed other people had waiting time issues, i never seem to encounter too long of a wait, could be because i have never ordered around dinner time. i have been to many other thai places and it seems you always have to add additional condiments to develop flavor, the only thing i add fromtasteof thai is their hot sauce and only because i like an extra kick! again, great food, great service, great atmosphere!

my pad thai.tasteof thai is normally very good. coconut shrimp, or chicken curry, or vegetable cashew or pad thai is what i usually get for dine in. love the non-greasy delicious crispy eggrolls. but, last night ( saturday ) some time between 5:00 and 6:00 i picked up an order of shrimp pad thai and something was missing. big time !! i don't know what , because i'm not a thai cook, but it was not the same. even the shrimp , that usually captures the overall flavor of all the ingredients of the dish , was flavorless. and besides the something missing, the noodles were tough and rubbery. what happened ?? i live too far from the restaurant to take it back. it was a waste of money. but, somebody was careless and didn't care.

my husband and i have been going totasteof thai for about 3 months now. although the food has its days. service was excellent. we found ourself favoring an excellent waitress by the name ashley she was just the highlight to the meal it was heartbreaking to learn she had been fired. the food has its days as i said i don't think my husband and i will be returning anytime soon.

taste of torture. we had ordered:
sweet and sour soup with fried rice
sticky rice and beef jerky
pho

the entire experience was miserable to say the least. it had taken us 35 minutes to get any of our food after ordering, 50 minutes to eat since sitting in the restaurant. we could not eat the sweet and sour soup until the fried rice was delivered, which was about 15 minutes after our food was delivered.

the pho was unauthentic, completely missing the integral flavors that comprise pho.
*i am a southeast asian, and have lived in sea, and consumed over 100s of bowls of pho. the soup was more like a curry based soup. *

the jerky was bland.

i would not eat attasteof thai again. the service was very slow, the food was nothing special. if you want real quick and authentic asian food, go to eastridge.

this has quickly become one of my favorites! food has alot oftasteand theres a great selection. friendly staff, very clean and affordable. great lunch spot!
