how can you not love tashas? firstly, let's not even mess around, their signature turkish delight cocktail is a must! never go to tashas without having one. never.
we started off with the mexican quesidilla. the mince tasted like my home made mince with a hint of coriander, just to tease the palate. every ingredient made me want another slice. i could not stop.
hubby had frankies curry. i loved the curry sauce, but the cubes of chicken were too dry. this is all part of the cooking process, i know. but the dry chicken cubes, is evidence that it is done separately from the sauce, not allowing the meat to suck up all the juicy flavours, after being browned.
my main course lettuce cup burger, was such a lovely surprise in both taste and how they presented it. i could only eat one of the burgers, as i was already indulging and felt like they would have to roll me out of there, after paying the bill.
at first i felt that they are a bit pricey, but seeing the portions, it is worth every cent.
service was excellent. ndumiso had several tables, yet never forgot about us. pleasant surprise. now i know why they always have a queue.
