tried to book a few seats on a thursday afternoon, but unfortunately they don’t take bookings. we arrived around 4.30 and the place was empty so managed to get agoodarea. it definitely starts getting packed around the 5pm mark.
we just ordered a few drinks and some fries, and the jerk chicken dish. the lack of food was kind of disappointing, so we ended up going somewhere else to get proper food. the drinks however were all strong and made well. the chicken dish we had was really flavoursome too. note though that the $10 “tiki time” drinks are not served in a tiki which i found kind of odd, but the drink wasgoodalbeit. the drinks were all strong and worth the money, the jaguar bowl decoration (the big purple flower topper) was really dirty underneath which was quite gross.
the thing i wasn’t a fan of was service. our service was nice, but also quite rude to her own staff. i felt as though she was training some new staff but she was telling them off “are you having an off day today cause this looks bad” etc which is not how you should act directly in front of your customers. otherwise the service was attentive and the wait time wasn’t too long.
