small and slow. update:
closed and out of business.

i sat at a table for four and it was barely big enough for me, one. service was terribly slow, i left after seeing no service for 15 minutes.

real american old fashion diner with all the trimmings. had the all american breakfeast and it was right on time. eggs sausage and 2 pancakes with a side of breakfast potatoes really hit the spot this morning.

the food here is pretty mediocre and over priced. think denny's food in a cooler diner. the waiting staff is super nice, however. wouldn't come again.

you're so money baby!. had an order of the huevos rancheros (~$9): 2 organic eggs on corn tortillas, black beans, jack and cheddar cheeses, salsa, and homemade guacamole topped with ranchero sauce. food was delicious, staff was imperceptible, and the ambiance was bright.

really good food, hit or miss service, parking available in alley out back

service has gotten much better!!!. we've been on-again, off-again with swingers, but this evening (a sunday night) the service was top-notch and the food was great! an ahi tuna sandwich with the best wasabi dressing ever and a side of sauteed spinach, and two omelets with potatoes. one peach cobbler with ice cream and a brownie sundae to top it off. the food was really flavorful, hot and quick out of the kitchen and the server was polite, attentive and fast. bravo, swingers! we'll be back.

what service. my god what terrible service, i dont care how good the food is,,, which is a glorified dennys,,, i have been in there 3 times this week and have yet to have eaten beacuse i cant get one of those stoned broads to serve or even pay atteintion to me

so after i settle in to the hotel, and shower off that plane smell and film that forms on you from sitting in that recycled air for too long, i clearly need something to eat. luckily for me, some of my old high school buddies relocated to la so we had an

trendy beach diner.... great breakfast with nice vegan options if you so choose. the service was very nice and the coffee was great. i discovered my new sweetner here, agave syrup! fun diner atmosphere. quiet neighborhood.

ok... i've seen some lousy reviews down here, and i must say it was a little slow when i went too. it was a saturday afternoon, totally empty but our waitress was a little entertained by other things.

the burger i had was ok, for the most part the onion rings were amazing. but yeah, i probably won't do the burger next time..

two things here really floateth my boat. two things here are spectacular, if you're a banana and pancakes kind of person: the multigrain banana pancakes and the peanut butter and banana milkshake.

ok, i'm a fan of swingers' menu and i really like their tuna melt. however, this paticular burger, ..was missing some love.

terrible service. food mediocre---consistently mediocre. great onion rings though!

for anything close to decent service you havevto sit at the counter. pretty good food when all is said and done though.

my friends and i ventured to swingers friday evening (oops.....sat morning) to get some nourishment as our night of partying depleted all the available calories in our system.

the host came by and asked for my name and promptly wrote it down on his clipboard.

5 minutes passed and...................
hd: sir, what is your name so that i can put it on the clip board?
me: huh? my name is right there......@6 names down from the top.
hd: oh, my bad. your table should be ready soon.
me: thanks man.

5 mins later..........................
hd: "sir, what's your name so i can put it down on the clipboard."
me: dude, thats my name 3 from the top.
hd: gives me a blank look which slowly transformed into a dazed look and walks away.

5 mins later...................
hd: would you like to put your name on the clipboard to wait for a table?
me: err........thats me in the #1 position.
hd: oh, cool.

2 mins later...........
hd: are you waiting for a table? if so, i need your name to write on my clipboard.
me: walked out and went to big tomy's. mmmm!

i swear the host is either:

1. stupid
2. retarded
3. stupid and retarded

i have a sneaking suspicion its #3.
