sweet sammies cookies + ice cream

delicious. i went to sweetsammiesfor the first time yesterday, it was incredible. 2 homemade cookies and bluebell ice cream at $1.75. it just doesn't get any better. i'll definitely be going back every chance i get. =d

just what the inner child ordered. having grown up on commercial cookie ice cream sandwiches, sweetsammieswas a terrific after-dinner treat. they featured several different kinds of blue bell ice cream, which was then sandwiched between two homemade-style cookies. the cookies were thick and a bit stiff --- i preferred the softer pumpkin cookie (one of their seasonal cookies), but they were very good textures for sandwiching. however, at this price (under $3/sandwiches), you can't beat it, and every customer in the store in had a huge smile of anticipation on their face.

go ahead. treat yourself.. sweet sammie's takes you back the simpler times of going out for bubble gum ice cream with mom. and with the prices so low, it feels like you're still getting it for free.

the family who owns the shop is very personable (despite the fact that they frequently get asked if they are "sammie"), and they use grandma's original recipes, which are delicious.

if you're looking for a comfortable place to spend time with your family and friends, sweetsammiesis your best bet. (i highly recommend oatmeal toffee or chocolate coconut.)

pure greatness!!!. my husband and i ventured over to sweetsammiesthis past weekend for the first time. we were greeted warmly and the woman behind the counter explained about what they offered when i told her it was our first visit there. we picked out our cookies and ice cream and went on our way. the outside seating was full so we ventured down to the benches in front the theatre. we than started enjoying our treat and wow it was perfect! fresh baked cookies, homemade that were great on their own. the combo of fresh baked cookies and bluebell was the perfect evening to our evening and the only thing we regret was not going back in to get a few extra cookies to take home!!! next time we will bring home extra's. i love greatness!! greatness is set apart, a step above and exceeds others. sweetsammiesdoes just that! it is also perfect for a family treat due to how reasonable it was. my husband and i both got one and our total was just under $4. if you ever need cookies for a school event or for anything these are amazing and much cheaper than anything in town. sweetsammieswe are so glad you are here and will be back.

this is our new dessert destination! we'll eat at a resaurant nearby and then head tosammiesfor their great combination of cookies and ice cream. we plan on adding a few more miles a week to our running so we can eat as many sweetsammiesas we want.
