greaticecream!. i stopped at sweet action after shopping at nooch vegan market, as i heard they had some delicious vegan flavors. there were not at many flavors as i was hoping for, but the vanilla peanut butter one with a root beer on the side did not disappoint! i felt that the price was just right too. i liked the eating area, as the giant window was open to the outside and i could people watch while enjoying my dessert. i will definitely be back to try all of their other flavors.

update - i just realized that they switch out all of their flavors, including the vegan ones, weekly. i will be coming back for more!!

greaticecream, dresscode needed.. love that this place is open late. really enjoyed the variety of flavors, they have something for everyone. avacadoicecream? sure, why the hell not? tried the cookie butter chip and was not disappointed. the waffle cone was great and the serving was generous.

the only thing that kind of turned me off was the service staff in tank tops. it doesn't seem particularly hygienic and they were sweaty and working hard. nothing less appetizing than a moist, sweaty, hairy armpit three feet from your face.

located on a trendy part of broadway and considered by some to be the besticecream in the greater denver area, it was just prior to 8:30pm that parking was chanced at a nearby walgreens and finding almost no line despite almost entirely filled tables the experience at sweet action was very much like any other artisan scoop-shop, a smattering of samples served by smiling faces leaving tough decisions to be made.

sweet actionicecream is a great place to geticecream, but today it definitely lost points for me. i walked in the store with my heart set on buying a large portion oficecream. a half gallon to be specific for about 17 bucks. when i went to place my order, the employees working told me they had the containers but did not want to pack a half gallon container oficecream because of the effort it would take. it is anicecream shop their job is to scoopicecream into containers and sell it, isnt it? just because they didnt want to put in a little effort for a customer paying more money than everyone else in the line, most likely, i still had to pay %70 more for the same amount oficecream. i left the store with myicecream just emotionally pissed off.

what makes sweet actionicecream so good? first and foremost, it is the onlyicecream place i have ever visited that offers veganicecream. that in itself is awesome. even if their vegan product was inferior, i'd be giving some lukewarm kudos for at least offering us vegans a chance aticecream. but here's the thing. their veganicecream is not inferior. in fact, it is some of the besticecream (not just veganicecream) i've had. their veganicecream is just as creamy and dreamy as most of the other non veganicecreams i've eaten in my life. i've achieved this vegan creaminess in my kitchen a few times but it usually requires a strong taste of banana or coconut. sweet action's veganicecream has neither. if you order a raspberry and chocolateicecream you can rest assured that that is what it will taste like. it won't be raspberry and chocolate with a hint of banana or a sliver of coconut.

on my first visit to sweet action, i was privy enough to enjoy their vegan raspberry chocolate in a cone. absolutely fabulous all around. theicecream had a nice blend of fruit and chocolate and was soft and consistent the whole way through. there were noicecrystals or chunks of anything that made you step back and wonder what was going on the waffle cone was freshly made and smelled so good. during our most recent visit, i asked my wife to get me a "vegan version that is fruity." she came back with pumpkin (as my only other option was green tea). again, it was creamy and consistent. it reminded me of a cold pumpkin pie.

sweet actionicecream rotates flavors daily it seems. this is great if you live there or if you aren't vegan as you have a lot to choose from. for those vegan eaters that are stopping by on a visit from out of state, it is sort of luck of the draw.

this place has the besticecream in denver. most people stick to little man's which is ok, but the selection and service at sweet action far surpasses anything at little man. when you go make sure you try the stranahan's whiskey brickle, all of the best things about colorado in anicecream!

the besticecream spot in my opinion. the flavors are unique but still satisfying. a bit pricey but justifiably so. gets busy quick but worth the wait.

one sunday we decided to do anicecream tour and sweet action was our first stop. and out of the four places we tried that day it was my favorite. and to date would rank as either one or two for places i have tried in denver. creamy smoothicecream, and they meld their flavors very well.

like everyone else in denver, i'm completely obsessed with sweet action. they have a trendy ambiance that isn't overwhelming, but that still manages to be more intriguing than the averageicecream shop. their flavors are as varied as they are delicious, and the employees are always more than happy to answer any questions you might have about the selection. the flavors change pretty regularly, so i wouldn't advise getting too attached to any of them, but if you love to try something a little different on youricecream excursions, i would highly recommend visiting sweet action.

not a hugeicecream girl, but this place is pretty great. the smell constantly wafting out of here is incredible and i haven't had a flavor i didn't like. lines can get crazy when it's hot out, so best to hit at odd times during heat waves.

some of the besticecream i've ever had!. i was told the besticecream in denver is either sweet action or little man... after trying both, i have no doubt that sweet action is the best!

i came here on vacation in august, on a friday night at about 10:30 pm (a half-hour before it closes) and the line was out the door. this place is packed! in a good way though... the line moves quickly, and it clearly shows the popularity of the place.

as for theicecream... so many unique and tasty flavors. i had two scoops in a cup: one of them was a peanut buttery flavor, the other was a banana-based flavor, and they were both awesome. it's literally some of the besticecream i've ever had!

i highly recommend this place -- it's worth the wait!

wow!. after seeing this place featured on food network, we had to check it out!

they have a variety of unique and classic flavors, so there is definitely something for everyone here. i just had to sample the honey jalapeno pickle-a flavor for the brave for sure...lol. i actually would have loved just honey jalapeno, but the dill threw it off for me. than i tried the whiskey brickle-- yum!!! in the end though, i went with a traditional, triple peanut butter-- which actually wasn't a boring version! it was probably the best peanut buttericecream i have ever tasted- and i've hadicecream all over the us and then some. i've been to the ben and jerry's factory and the first ben and jerry's ever opened (before it was torn down)- so that's saying a lot coming from me!

we will definitely be going back the next time we are in denver to see what's new on the menu!

(my son had the blackberry lime and loved it)
