great food but misleading advertising. i took my daughter to sushi iwa / beaver creek tonight. the entrance doors had "buy 1 get 1 free" in large red letters so large you couldn't miss the message upon entering the restaurant. we were taken to our booth and handed the menus. my first question to my server was "so how does this buy 1 get 1 free deal work ... does that mean that if i buy an entree, my guest gets an entree ... and if i buy a soup, my guest gets asoup... and if i buy a dessert, my guest gets a dessert ? server says "yes" ... seems pretty straight forward. we proceed to order and enjoyed a great meal. i enjoyed a wonderful sushi meal and my daughter had the hibachi beef. again ... the food was great. bill shows up (i'm expecting maybe $30-$35 and it's $45 before the tip. it shows we each got oursoupfor free with everything else full price. so now i'm pretty annoyed. i call my server back and say "i'm confused ... i asked you how the deal worked before i ordered and you told me i understood it correctly. now, i'm only seeing that we got oursoupfor free. she says i must have misunderstood. so, i can only give the experience a low score not because of the food but because of what seems, in my opinion, pretty vague (at best) advertising.
