sumo sam serves japanese food infused with bits of american cooking. the indoor ambience is good, though you won't feel the nihon theme.
the food are great and of large servings. for group diners, their sumo board meal bundle fits the budget.
my personal favorites are dynamite roll, tempura, sashimi (tuna, salmon, and kani) and crunchy tuna roll.
the sumo sam's pride, a salad, is also interesting, the dressing is just too sweet though.
if they could keep the sakuyaki bowl warm and reduce its sweetness, then it will be worth a try.
