i really like japanese food as evident on my previous reviews.
this one though had my favorite selections of sushi and sashimi so far. i had fun with my fellow bloggers during the visit because the staff were so attentive. back to the food, you should try their desserts, the banana tempura and the mango jubilee which tasted heavenly. certain standouts were the pride salad and the tempura which are best sellers off their menu and which is justifiable base on its taste

they have a wide range of food available from tempura to maki rolls to ramen that japanese patrons will surely love. it's really tasty and delicious. they also have desserts that must be tried! the place is a bit small, but spacious and visually pleasant. the staff are accommodating too, and they look good in their uniform lol

we tried sumo sam due to curiosity of what their food like. although, japanese cuisine isn't my kind of food. so instead of having the typical sushi and sashimi's on their menu, we tried their donburi. we ordered beef gyudon, katsudon (pork tenderloin) and vegetable ramen. the beef gyudon and vegetable ramen was delicious. i never thought i will love their vegetable ramen  since i'm not a fan of it. the balance of flavors and freshness of the veges made me want for more. however the katsudon was a disappointment. it was bland and under seasoned. not good at all. the service was okay. reasonable price with big portions and servings. we might come back but definitely i will not order katsudon again.

sumosam serves japanese fusion food in reasonable prices and with a wide array (bordering overwhelming) of menu options. aside from the usual sushi, sashimi, and rice topping options, they also have unique offerings such a japanese pasta and pizza. pretty good, but not my favorite japanese fusion restuarant.
