sugarcane raw bar grill

beautiful place to see and be seen, but it unfortunately ends there. thedrinksare too expensive, the dishes are not specific to any cuisine and not that delicious. just a fusion of i don't know what.

place is nice anddrinksare good and well elaborated . some of the dishes are good and with the right size but in other plates they need to improve. the area is blooming and happy hours are crowded. decoration is nice .

if you've ever been to barcelona this place will bring you right back to those nights of great food and drinks, relaxing ambiance yet fun atmosphere, and tapas style dishes to share.  their strawberry balsamic cocktail is one of the bestdrinksi've ever had; the taste was toooo on point- you could taste all of the flavors without the over powering flavor of the alcohol, yet when you stood up you knew there was plenty of alcohol in the drink.  we shared a variety of plates and you can't go wrong with the bacon-wrapped dates (i don't even like dates but i loved these) and the brussel sprouts!  all of the fish in our sushi was very tasty and fresh! can't wait to be back in miami just so i can go here!

atmosphere is gorgeous!!! i cannot wait till it's cooler outside so i can enjoy somedrinksoutside in there terrace that feels like you are transported to a garden. food was out of this world and such interesting flavors i have never tried like the kimchee watermelon. i will defiantly come here again and again!

mad people as host. on friday march 6 at around 11:20 pm ( so management knows who are this two disrespectful employees that are damaging their business) i walk into the restaurant i was rudely informed that there was no space and that i could sit outside while was pouring rain i decided to get somedrinksat the bar while i waited for one of the 6 to 10 tables (we were a party of 2 so no challenge here). i was put on a waiting list and informed i they will text me when table is ready after 20 minutes i notice they were seating new arrivals so i reach the desk and ask her that i was still waiting for a table, she said she had nothing open so i asked her to sit us the grill bar (i feel silly now they made me feel i was begging for a space to give them business). at that moment a man that was helping the host told me that he though i had left and he erased me from the list, that they were not opening that space for us and if i was in a hurry i could either wait or leave, i was very disappointed.drinksand bar tender were good though. i honestly feel they should hire people that knows how to organize a restaurant in a crucial position as is the host.
funny remark when i was paying for my dinner at novecento right next door they texted me that my table was ready ( i just laugh)

don't come here if you're from out of the country just so you know if you plan on havingdrinksyour drivers license and any other form of i.d is not valid... if you must come here bring your passport.

balls to the wall dessert a must!!. “balls to the wall” which was a brownie dipped in funnel cake batter, deep fried, then served with condensed milk and vanilla ice cream on the side, and all topped with powdered sugar. we ordered one ball as we were pretty stuffed from the entrée, and decided to split it. the dessert was amazing – it was slightly crunchy from the fried batter, but incredibly soft once you crack the ball open. the gooey brownie scooped with the ice cream was heavenly. i separated the batter part of the ball from the brownie, and drizzled it with the condensed milk served on the side. when we were done, we left happily full.

fabulous drinks. love coming here fordrinksand oysters! i've tried a good amount of their drinks, my favorite is the rum 'n bramble.

overall, i truly enjoyed my brunch at sugarcane. i love the inventiveness of the chefs and bartenders. several of the brunch items are old school favorites with a new school twist. thedrinkswere refreshing and interesting. the items are fresh and cooked to order. the items are brought out as they’re ready in no particular order. this is one of the few places that i always recommend when someone is looking for a fun and different place to go to,

the food is great. the ambience is awesome. thedrinksare delish. but it's waaaaay overpriced. still, it's a nice place to bring a date. come not hungry cuz the portions are tiny.

sugarcane’s happy hour itself is nice if you like reasonably-priceddrinksaround attractive people.

definitely more "scene" than "cuisine". great ambiance hipster crowd. that's were it ends. go fordrinks- eat elsewhere.

three of us went there for dinner @6:30 prior to catching a flight out. promptly seated, quickly greeted by a friendly waiter who gave us a good overview of food and drink for our first time there. we ordered a couple beers, about 10 plates including the poki tuna(sp?). quick delivery of thedrinkswas immediately followed by the rapid succession of dishes. each selection was very good and uniquely presented. haven't had brussels sprouts in years, but ate more than my share since they were so good. overall experience was great. only two drawbacks; the dishes came out so quickly that we felt like they were stacking up on us. could be that they were sensitive to our need to eat and run for our flight; we'll come back to try a more leisurely sitting. other thing is the inside/outside bar looks cool, but with open doors we found that we were sharing our meal with pesky flies. either need to keep doors closed or stronger air curtain. it was good; we certainly look forward to goin back again.

i was there yesterday afternoon - saturday around 4pm. i love the location and the ambiance is great. thedrinkswere good but the food was nothing to write home about; for the price, i'd say the food was below average.

what can i say about the service? well, mommy always told me, "if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all." when did i ever listen to mommy? i just don't like waiting 20 minutes fordrinksand asking about a dish, choosing another and getting both - then billed for both. do i really have to beg for the bill? seriously, you can keep it!! $130 for 2 people, 6 drinks, 3 tapas. not too bad... but for lunch?

i'd go back for thedrinksand try sitting at the bar, but i'm not sure i'd go there for dinner.
