friendly service, super fun atmosphere. here's one thing that really disappointed me: i asked if the icecream is house made. i was informed that the icecream is all dryer's brand. there's not really anything wrong with that, but at a shop that specializes in icecream sundaes, i'd really expect them to make their own. i almost left when i heard that it was generic grocery store brand. i decided to stay and order the top hat sundae. this is a sundae with cream puff pasty on the top and bottom. it was really good. the pastry had a nice texture and the employee was very generous with the hot fudge. if you want a funplaceto enjoy a pretty good sundae, this is your place. if you want amazing homemade icecream, it's not. i'd probably come again.

sooooooooooooo cute! i'm so glad we had a chance to stop in here on our vacation. the pie people, get the apple pie it is so delicious. my partner ordered the pie and i ended up stealing most of it off him haha. 
i ordered a small sundae mint chocolate chip with peanut butter sauce (yup i'm a wierdo) it was so good. just the right size so as not to send me into sugar overload but enough to fill my sugar craving for the day. the decor is absolutely adorable and pinkkk, a great spot to take some cute photos with friends. would be quite a coolplacefor the start of a hens night or baby shower.

thisplaceis filthy!. dirty,sticky floors, wobbly chairs and a visibly dirty grimy entrance door almost made me turn around and leave. thisplaceneeds a god professional cleaning. won't go back.

nice atmosphere, normal sundaes. the sugar bowl is a scottsdale institution. the ice cream sundaes were good, but nothing spectacular. what makes theplacespecial is the style of it, evoking your typical 1950’s ice cream parlor.

service could be a lot more efficient and it would be nice if they didn’t run out of important staples. but nice overall.

childhood favorite. i've been coming here since i was a little boy. i miss the old ice cream palors. thisplaceand farrell's were childhood memories of mine and i'm glad sugar bowl is still in existence. sugar bowl opened in 1958. it still has the old pink decor and the menu hasn't changed much over the years. family circus was a favorite comic of mine growing up and they still keep it as a theme. i order a banana split just like i did as a child every time i come here.

the marshmallow, fudge, and walnut concoction on my creamed walnut fudge sundae is a gooey delight. and the french vanilla ice cream -- the foundation for many of their sundaes -- is smooth, rich and heavenly. though the bubble gum pink interior is like the love child of barbie's dream house & a fake '50s diner, the service you'll find inside is swift and friendly. the sundae portions are fairly generous so save room for thisplaceor plan to share!

the sugar bowl is a fixture of old town scottsdale. the coolest thing about it is the pink exterior, though.

first off, the interior isn't the cleanestplacein the world. i guess that could add to its charm, but i just found it gross. you would hope that the food would make up for it, but it doesn't.

the only thing worth ordering on the entire menu is the buster brown sundae. and i paid over four bucks for it. for that price, i should get more ice cream and marshmallow sauce.

i tried a sandwich here once. judging by the taste, it was almost as old as the sugar bowl itself. never again.

oh, and the service is a joke. it took them almost a half an hour for the sandwich to come out. at least when they made the sundae, it came to my table soon.

so, if you want to go here, do it just for dessert. but there are other, better places in scottsdale.
