just before a meeting i stopped at strolla for a coffee . it ended up becoming a lemon seed muffin (delicious) a carrot and ginger freshly pressed juice (really delicious) and a cappuccino (to strong and a bit dissapointing). service is great and the setting is very pretty.

welcomed by a cold and uninviting hostess, we were shown to a table where we waited 10 minutes before we asked for someone to serve us. when our food finally arrived the portuguese steak i had ordered was far closer to well done than medium rare and the seared tuna may as well have been oven baked. as for the view, if you're not sitting upstairs then you really need to have an appreciation of bus stops, as that is all you've got.

didn't love our brunch there. nothing really appealed on the lunch menu and they weren't serving brek anymore at 11.15am. service friendly and the kids room a good outlet for our 3 boys.

stunning venue! i've heard such great things about strolla, so on a perfect summers day we walked over to this restaurant. i wasn't disappointed with the decor- gorgeously pink and teal! i was however less pleased about the service- disinterested waiters, waiting to be seated when it was not even busy and then being told if it does get busy we will be bumped from our seats :/ a little upsetting after the general excitement! the cocktails were a bit too sweet but the food was great, we shared a vegetarian pizza- lovely and light :) i'd try this restaurant again, but i certainly have my reservations about it.

so we didn't make breakfast, opted for a late sunday sleep-in, which forces one to do brunch, and as it was a beautiful day in cape town, we wanted a view, so strolla seemed fitting. i chose the open ale pulled pork sandwich with melted gruyere on sourdough and dario had the chicken bacon and avo salad with a soft poached egg. the salad was a sufficient portion, with lots of filling, but the choice of lettuce was very fury and gritty and too much of it. the pulled pork sandwhich was sufficient for me, in terms of portion size, but i think if you were hungry, or a big eater, you'd expect more. it also lacks a dressing or sauce. a honey, soy or plum glaze would work perfectly, as pork tends to dry out quickly. the location is beautiful and the service is efficient. really good edition to the peninsula hotel.

what a delightful discovery! we stumbled upon this charming place and have not regretted it one bit. the staff were attentive and friendly, particularly towards the children who enjoyed making their own pizzas. the food was simply delicious, carefully constructed and beautifully presented. the deserts, although standard in name, were well paired, as for example, the marriage between the decadence of the chocolate fondant and the bitterness of the marmelade ice cream. this will be a place i will return to. trop cool!

this has got to be one of my favourite restaurants in sea point!

the service is always great, they have an extensive wine list and the food is divine!

additional perk is that they have a play room for the kiddies and are super child friendly.

what an unexpected find! we came across strolla when looking for a child friendly venue in the cbd. really impressed. good cocktails, awesome vibe (and music). attentive staff (even made my busy 4 yr old feel welcome & important). tasty food. build your own pizza for the youngsters. very good kids room - with full time minder. gaming consoles, movies & bean bags, lego & crafts table. kids play area can be viewed from a window facing the restaurant. fabulous afternoon for all. (4 yr old cried when we wanted to go home after 3 hours!)

second time here... truly amazing views. the food is good. love the lamb croquettes and the nachos with pulled pork. sadly the service was seriously lacking. ask for 4 wine glasses 3 arrive. order 8 tequilas 7 arrive. order a bottle of wine, a glass of wine arrives. not sure why?? waitress seemed too busy with inside tables to worry about is outside.

after reading about strolla in a magazine, our family decided that visiting this restaurant was a must while on holiday in the cape.

a warm and dimly lit setting with friendly staff left us feeling welcome.
the cocktail menu was extensive, offering a variety of flavoured gins to pair with your tonic, as well as your standard cocktails with a twist.

our meals were beautifully presented and very delicious! between the family and i, we had the quinoa salad, the bacon and avo salad, the lamb, soup and jalapeño poppers!

the poppers were undoubtedly the tastiest i have ever eaten, and the salad was one of exquisite flavours!
we were all pleasantly surprised by our meals and certainly treated to such a great dinner!

i had been a few times to grab a coffee in the morning but never went inside. i heard there was a play area so i wanted to check it out. but rosie didn't want to go into the room. it is completely separate so as a parent you can't see your child. i would suggest it for older children. i had the gnocchi chorizo which was ok but i wasn't blown away. table was sticky so i asked waitress to please wipe it. still dirty afterwards. the outside deck looks stunning. it just needs some vibe, some personality. wouldn't rush back...

strolla looks so inviting and i've wanted to try it since it opened a few months ago!
managed to stop here for an early morning coffee... which i was so delighted to see is bootleggers! the barsitas are great too, vibey and make a super steaming flat white :)
oh, and they have a r14 coffee special until 9am everyday!
i'll be back to try out their food for a lazy weekend lunch for sure.

really not great.

beautiful view but that's about it. the service, food quality and the cocktails were all below average.

it's a huge pity. with such a great location, it has massive potential.

the falafel burger was the best vegetarian burger i've ever had, hands-down.
the service was really great and the manager was very attentive.
beautiful decor and ambience, music might have been a bit too club-like but otherwise really really great!
