korean food was on the menu for dinner tonight, so we ended up at stone bowl in asheville. we were both pretty exhausted from a day of hiking and just wanted to fill our bellies with good food. we started off with the goon man du. these were some awesome dumplings. crispy on the outside with a delicious filling. for his entree, loren got the doi ji stonebowl. he really enjoyed it. the bowl is super hot and you have to mix it all together. there’s rice on the bottom that gets a little crispy and it all melds together just perfectly. i went for the tang su yuk. it’s a sweet and sour chicken dish with lots of veggies. the chicken was crispy and crunchy and the sauce had a nice flavor to it. the sides they were serving today were seaweed salad, pickled cucumber, fried tofu, radish, bean sprouts, kim chi, and potato in sweet sauce. we both really enjoyed the entire meal. total bill with a drink was $42 stone bowl korean 1987 hendersonville rd, ste a asheville, nc 828-676-2172 food service atmosphere value
