a group of 5 of us came here for dinner last night, we were quite unsure because of reading some ordinary reviews... but my husband & buddies were excited about the beer options, so we 'risked' it. we walked into a bustling, energetic area which looked & smelt amazing. we somehow found seats (there must've been 200+ people there) ordered at the bar & prepared to wait a looong time for our food. well we didn't have to wait long! didn't even finish our first drink & the food turned up which is an amazing feat for such a large amount of people! 3 of our group got the burger which they all scored 10/10. and the other 2 got the pork belly & both gave 10/10 as well! the crackling was crackly & the meat was as tender as butter. the spring veges were cut like a fine dining restaurant & everything was so well seasoned... i'm drooling thinking about it... the boys were raving about the home grown milk stout & a couple other beers all night. one thing to note, the menu is actually very different to the one here on zomato, i didn't take a photo so i can't update it unfortunately. they've obviously worked out some kinks that i've been reading in previous reviews, changed up the menu & now have a wood fired pizza oven which smelt amazing too. the service was attentive & friendly. the ambience is awesome. even though there were a lot of people there, (saturday night) it's such a huge space, it can handle it & you don't feel smooshed in. the crowd is a typical melbourne foodie/craft beer crowd too, not a rowdy rough bunch you find at some pubs. definitely give it a go! we are so glad we did! we tried booking so many other places for dinner, but they were booked up already & so glad they were now, otherwise we would've missed out on an awesome night & not discovered our new favourite local haunt.
