not a bad place at all. have been meaning to go here for a while and finally went this past weekend.

the beer selection is extensive, if a little pricey (but $12 a pint seems to be standard these days!). not enough time / ability to sample more than a handful of the beers on offer., but all that i had were great. no complaints at all.

the food was great too. the burger was great, no complaints, delightfully moist, but not sloppy, the chips were also beautifully crunchy, with a lovely side dipping sauce.

service was great , staff very friendly. only issue we had was the 15% surcharge on the saturday between good friday and easter sunday.

i don't know how you can have the steamed mussels classified as.a main. i ordered the squid, as well as the mussels ..... was still hungry.
great venue, food over priced for what you get.

yummy tart, unfriendly and slow service!
beautiful venue. child friendly. no smile at all from the staff. chicken salad was very simple for the price. mussels were not with a 'baguette', just a slice of bread. double burger was yum.

interesting place. hard to find the front door initially which is unexpectedly on a side street. the space is cavernous and very beer hall like. it can get noisy. the wine was good but not brilliant. the food we had off the laminated menu was ok but not spectacular. service was polite and generally efficient. solid but not spectacular would describe this venue well. it's good but it hits no great heights.

best family dining venue in melbourne? certainly beats the pubs out eastern melbourne anyway. great food done well and good value. wife and i spent $51 sharing a broccoli salad, ribs and salami pizza. it was just excellent. kids loved the space and the play area. crowd was great. apart from one grumpy batman the staff were just excellent (they efficiently and quietly cleared tables which was just awesome). beer is great. dining space is simple but everyone from the kids to my parents were very happy. bring a cushion for the oldies!

details: i was going to give this place a 4 or 4.5 as i struggled to find anything wrong with it... initially. the burgers were ridiculously tasty, the brewery was very spacious and had great decor, the service was very quick, the corn fritters and chicken wings were incredible sides to the burger.....
but.... then.... i found a great big long black hair in the pizza. such a shame because everything was going fine... but that was disgusting. it was woven into the margherita pizza. (on a side note apparently the pizza was nice before the hair discovery). they refunded our pizza bill, but my gosh was it a disappointment. hair nets girls 😐😐😐😐😐

birthday lunch here today with a group of 10+. haven't been here before and really enjoyed it. food and beers were awesome. yes it was hot and humid inside, but just the same outside today. fans were good when people weren't standing in front of them!
great atmosphere and will be back again.

this place is amazing! great space, interiors, energy, beers and from the small sampling of food, will definitely be back!

went with the mixed six house selection for our first round of drinks which is a great way to sample the variety of beers on tap. then decided on our own selection for round two making sure to include the 11.4% 'brick tower'!

only managed to try the sweet potato crisps before the kitchen closed (oddly early around 10pm on sat). thin and crispy and lightly seasoned with sea salt.

love this place! unpretentious and so accessible by all. awesome range of beer (and wines are delish too). their food is not amazing but you don't go there for a meal. you go there for the atmosphere and beer. i like that they've focused their passion into those two things, nailed them and still haven't taken themselves too seriously. you can tell the owners have had fun with this project, it really stems into the service their service and how everyone carries themselves. my only qualm is that theres always kids running around and being noisy but the grinch inside me recognises that thats part of what gives this place its charm.

was here this saturday evening for a work function, very happy with the food that was prepared.

pizza's were freshly made and plentiful, hot out of the stone fire oven which was the centrepiece of the kitchen. other entres and appetisers were well made and wholesome.

only complaint i think most of my colleagues had was the music was just a little bit too loud, which forced everyone (it was a packed venue that night) to virtually resort to shouting in each others ear to have reasonable forms of communication going.

we had an open bar tab which was fantastic, a beer and wine menu the size of most places food menu.

a group of 5 of us came here for dinner last night, we were quite unsure because of reading some ordinary reviews... but my husband & buddies were excited about the beer options, so we 'risked' it. we walked into a bustling, energetic area which looked & smelt amazing. we somehow found seats (there must've been 200+ people there) ordered at the bar & prepared to wait a looong time for our food. well we didn't have to wait long! didn't even finish our first drink & the food turned up which is an amazing feat for such a large amount of people! 3 of our group got the burger which they all scored 10/10. and the other 2 got the pork belly & both gave 10/10 as well! the crackling was crackly & the meat was as tender as butter. the spring veges were cut like a fine dining restaurant & everything was so well seasoned... i'm drooling thinking about it... the boys were raving about the home grown milk stout & a couple other beers all night. one thing to note, the menu is actually very different to the one here on zomato, i didn't take a photo so i can't update it unfortunately. they've obviously worked out some kinks that i've been reading in previous reviews, changed up the menu & now have a wood fired pizza oven which smelt amazing too. the service was attentive & friendly. the ambience is awesome. even though there were a lot of people there, (saturday night) it's such a huge space, it can handle it & you don't feel smooshed in. the crowd is a typical melbourne foodie/craft beer crowd too, not a rowdy rough bunch you find at some pubs. definitely give it a go! we are so glad we did! we tried booking so many other places for dinner, but they were booked up already & so glad they were now, otherwise we would've missed out on an awesome night & not discovered our new favourite local haunt.

this place is definitely worth a visit for the beers. a huge variety of tasty beers- it's hard not to want to try them all! the food, however, is very lacking. limited options and pretty ordinary food. in my opinion, the food/menu has a lot of room for improvement. having said that, i will definitely be back! it's a great family-friendly venue.
