steve's hot dogs on the hill

delicious 100% beef nathanshotdogs (and locally made andouille, chorizo and salsiccia sausages and g&w bratwursts) with wildly inventive and scrumptious toppings! try the new waffle dog with sriracha maple, it’s awesome! the chili-cheese dog, gorilla mac & cheese dog are highly recommended. choose the daily special or any one of the other wonderful choices. nice selection of locally made beverages, too.

food here is just ok. the differenthotdogs are very creative and i suppose it is worth a try. however, for me the quality just wasn't there.

little bit small for a two hour lunch ... but well worth waiting in line for..

one of the best dogs out there. we go for lunch and love it. it has the beef to back it's bull that's for sure. a lot ofhotdogs in a lot of places try really hard to be unique. steve's is one of a kind.

i’ll admit i was a little nervous about visiting steve’shotdogs on the hill .  music by steve ewing and the urge whisk me back to my youth.  i have seen the urge perform countless times on many different stages and have fond memories (for those i can still remember).  my nervousness stemmed from having my bubble burst about a st. louis icon.  steve ewing has always been a kind person that takes his time out to talk to anyone.  i always appreciated seeing how much he enjoyed performing no matter the crowd size.  enough about this bromance i have for steve ewing; let’s talk about somehotdogs. steve’shotdogs on the hill is a small shop with limited seating.  steve’s features nathan’shotdogs, and clearly the focus is onhotdogs with a variety of different topping combinations.  but what exactly makes a goodhotdog?  for me, it’s all about having that “snap” when you bite into the dog. during my first visit i tried two different dogs, the gorilla mac & cheese dog and steve’s famou

hot dog!. easily my favorite lunch spot in stl. the staff are always super friendly, helpful and response is quick no matter how many people are crammed into the small space. i have had over half the dogs and sausages and have not run across a bad one. thehotdogs have a nice smoke flavor to them that really distinguishes from other places....my favorite is the hyaaaaah dog.

yummy. huge gourmethotdogs with all kinds of toppings!! the best part is the bun, which is not fluffy and crumbly like most...it's baked fresh down the street @ vitale's and made of pizza dough so it holds together nicely!

the only drawback of this place is the size...they need more tables! the gorilla mac-n-cheese dog is awesome! they also have the venice beach veggie dog for your vegetarian friends :-)

the music is good and the workers are friendly. where else can you go in st. louis and have a hometown music legend like steve ewing serve you ahotdog??

great dogs. my wife and son are thehotdog lovers in the house but this place might have brought me around. they are juicy and flavorful with interesting lists of toppings. this is a must go to spot.
