sitting in my hotel room near the airport, hungry and thirsty, i browsed through a list of mediocre options including the typical chain establishments. being the type always on the lookout for the locals jam, i noticed a spot a mile or so east, well off of "establishment row"- stella's charles ten. polish american? jackpot! what more could the wary traveler crave more than some homestylepierogisand a crisp cold bottle of zywiec (pronounced shev-its for all you non polacks!). food is outstanding (and cheap) service is great. i came on a weeknight and didnt experience any wait for my food and the barkeep kept the beers flowin. highly endorse, don't pass this gem up!

im a professional road warrior. i spend 150+ days a year on the road for work. after a 3 hour drive from dartmouth to windsor locks, i sat in my room near the airport looking at a list of "establishment row" restaurants, and losing hope quickly. until i stumbled upon stella's. i revel in finding the hidden gems, the local jams. this fits it to a t. what more does the wary traveler need if not a plate of hot, homecooked food and an ice cold beverage. stella's provides both with some local hospitality and a smile. some of the best polish food i've had outside of hamtramick, detroit. thepierogisare world class. the kraut is hot and tangy. the pickled eggs are for... diehard polacks (delish)! you can't go wrong. highly endorse! bypass all the crap near the airport and take a jaunt over to main street if you're looking for the good stuff!
