steel wheels pizzeria

second time i've had bulgogi pizza and i have to say, i really like this place despite the graffiti all over the walls (although i think it adds to the urban perfection of the place :d) sooocheaphere, $5 for two slices of bulgogi pizza + kimchi) i loved it!!!! going back here again for sure. oh p.s. the lady at tue cashier was super nice!! she made small talk and got to know her history more! amazing!

lets be honest people, the only reason anybody thinks steel wheels is good is because they are drunk when they eat here. late late hours,cheapas free prices, and a ramshackle punk-rock interior/vibe have cemented steel wheels as a runaway fave nightcap destination for the bar stars, and other such late night darlings of our beloved whyte avenue. the pizza though, not actually any good. really none of the food is any good. and the entire restaurant feels like it will give you dysentery. but that's not what steel wheels is about, and i would be lying if i said i didn't just love going there at the end of a long night of getting dragged out to the bars. its not where you want to go for date night, or for after work drinks with the coworkers, but there's just something that feels right about a cheap, dirty pizza place to wind down a late night out.

a gem. great korean food, tasty pizza and very reasonably priced to top it off. the owner/employees are all great, they remember your face after a few visits and are possibly the friendliest guys i've ever met.

the inside, well i've had a few friends who were not fans at all but i personally really like it. it's a unique experience for sure and it's a great conversation starter. for acheapmeal with a few buddies or drunk food you simply can't beat steel wheels! also you can buy soju by the bottle and it is pretty much the same price as a liquor store. a great casual place to go eat and drink.

i don't care what them haters say, this place is the absolute best place for korean food. not only because ofcheapprice, but because it tastes amazing compared to other places i went to in the city. also their pizza amazing!! never knew kimchi bulgogi would go well with pizza. their dumplings is also a must have as well!!

steel wheels pizzeria is an interesting restaurant to say the least. when you enter, you will immediately have one of two reactions: you'll be charmed by its uniqueness or completely turned off. the "decor" consists of booths with wooden benches, and there is not a single surface without graffiti or just plain doodles from previous customers. i have a feeling that whatever restaurant preceded, steel wheels just left the charming decor and built around it to save some money. it's not for everyone, especially neat freaks or germophobes (i'm sure steel wheels isn't actually dirty, but it sure gives off that appearance). if that describes you, you'll be pleased to know that steel wheels also offers upcheapbeers to help you care a bit less about your surroundings.

steel wheels. one of the worst pizzas i have had, and the place could be cleaner. the food is verycheapthere and you get exactly thatcheapquality food. if i was broke this place would be a decent find but thank god i am not broke and i will never have to eat here again hopefully. the ambience of the place is that of a broken down old hostel.

had 2 slices of pizza, 2 beers for $9. it'scheap& edible.

it's gross butcheapso worth it. the place to go at 2 in the morning after the bar. get a slice of korean pizza for $1. when you are drunk everything tastes good... so it's worth it.

friendly and friendly. owner phil is the nicest guy you will ever meet! (you will notice that when you see all the drawings on the wall)
he always welcome customers with a big smile, and the prices on the menu are almost as friendly as phil!
i love their pizza dough, thick but crispy! and their beers and pops are socheapyou will almost feel guilty ordering just one.
