this place is my new found love in surat. i happened to hear about this place from my friends and was looking forward to try it. i organized a lunch meet for my students here in their banquet. and i am really impressed with the food. we had an entire buffet menu comprising of soups (the crispy tortilla soup was amazing), starters (paneer chilly was good and pizza balls were to die for), rotis, sabzis, dal, rice, enchiladas (again pretty amazing) and desserts.
i even tried theirpaneersizzler which had a yum makhni gravy.
the place is nice for a small get together. the team is quite non flexible on their terms and hence if you are looking for any alterations in the menu, it won't be possible. i feel they should consider some genuine changes if the customer feels so. anyways, i loved this place solely for the food. service was decent and it is not very heavy on the pockets. would love to visit again.

mr. rohit and mr. rakesh are very helpful and give very good recommendations to order some new and exciting dishes . also the staff is very helpful and serves very good.

coming to the food, their menu has a large variety of dishes. they also serve a good variety of healthy food.
so here's a short review of dishes that i've had there.

they serve karari roomali sticks as complimentary dish.

starters :
pizza balls - it is my favorite starter there.
they serve 8 balls. they are stuffed with veges and cheese. and topped with a lot of cheese. it tastes really well. it's a must try dish . and it is not fried.

spring rolls - it had 10 pieces. it was served with schezwan sauce/dip. the taste was perfectly balanced and it tasted very good.

corn andpaneerquesadilla - it tastes awesome. the dip served with it was also very good .

also have tried theirpaneerchilly , veg crispy and manchurian and they both taste great.

alfredo pasta - they serve one of the best alfredo pasta. i told them to add some extra veges and they nailed it. and the quantity was really great.

in mocktails and beverages i've tried mojito, fruit punch and cold coffee.
i liked the fruit punch. it was smooth and had strawberry flavor.

have tried most of their sizzlers and i'm writing about chinese, continental,paneershashlik and mexican .

chinese sizzler - gets all good things . has great quantity. sauces are good. veges were more and they added a lot as i asked them to. fries were also in good quantity. andpaneerchilly was also there.

indianpaneershashlik sizzler - was really good. had plenty of vegetables. sauce was also good that was poured on top.

i once tried their dal khichdi and it was great.

the seating is good and the interior is also good looking but it sometimes hard to get photos.
one of my most favorite place to have great food in surat and their service is also excellent.

a family restaurant, if you need a perfect description.

we weren't feeling very adventurous hence we ordered chilly panneer in starter and veg cheese angoori along with butter naan in main course. the food quality is really goodpaneerwas really soft and well tossed well in chinese sauce.the sabji was really creamy and rich.

overall a really good experience.

i had dinner at steam recently. actually, i went there after reading a few reviews on zomato. so, i was very excited.
the ambiance was good. the atmosphere was welcoming. i liked the decoration.
they served their complimentary khakhara sticks with green chutney. to be honest, i didn’t really like it. but it was complimentary so that is fine.
i tried different food items here and i’m giving my ratings which are out of 10.
p.s. above 8 means i loved it!

3. lemon ice tea - 8

only 3 items i liked out of 5. i expected better nachos. and the quantity of cheese sauce was very little. crispy tortilla soup was awful. it was the worst soup i ever had! i loved lemon ice tea. it was refreshing. thepaneerpieces weren’t barbecued properly. the masala was good but it could be better if it was properly barbecued. i must say the quantity was good. i mean i was full after eating it but i still want to try continental sizzler. it was so good. i loved it.
overall the taste was good but they still need some improvements and it didn’t hurt your pocket that much!

slow service ... unusual taste of food...i orderedpaneerzafrani n the manager served mepaneertikka &paneerwas not even soft i asked him what is it so he says this is how we serve.. i will never suggest this restaurant to anyone in my list ..

yesterday after movie,we visited this place first time ever,beautiful interior with polite staff...n food was too yummy,speciallypaneerachar sabji,less garam masala with less oil n too healthy food....

pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a restaurant. were in a group so got to try out many dishes across different cuisines, and would highly recommend from the following dishes tried..
khow suey,
rock on salad- a lovely combination of baked crouton, cheese and tomatoes,
reshamipaneertikka (dry) with softpaneerand just perfect marination and spices,
zucchini rolls- soft yet well done and delectably garnished,
chimi changa well draped in perfectly done rotis,
to top it all up was the fantastic and unbelievably good coffee rasagulla.
great experience...looking forward to more food at same venue.

first thing that comes to u is long fried crispies with tangy spicy green chutney, it is a perfect snack to clean ur platter.

dragon rolls really nice quantity around 10 pieces in 225rs with perfect taste of corn peanuts.😍
cheesy cigars long tried cigar rolls with filling of cottage cheese and some veggies, will taste amazing if more crispy on the outside.✌
italian sizzler this is the best dish both in terms of quantity and quality. perfectly cooked pasta in creamy sauce, potato wedges, overall amazing 👌
jacket potatoes baked to perfection 👌 cheesy n stuffed with veggies.

▶️mocktails:
pinacolada (pineapple n coconut flavoured), love on the beach (lychee flavoured drink), green temptation (guava and kiwi flavoured pulpy mocktail)
one good thing about mocktails is one can get them below 100👌

▶️main course:
paneer kadhai,paneerpasanda, acharipaneerall of them were good but not much different.
dal tadka and rice were so light and fresh 👌
i tried all sabzis with missi roti which was nice m crisp

▶️ dessert:
desserts here are really amazing 😍
coffee rasgulla crunch the best of the lot 🤗 coffee flavoured rasgulla served with vanilla ice cream and peanut chikki on the top. a must try 💖
tiramisu nice and creamy with a bitter after taste
honey crispy darsan crisp fried wontons drizzled with honey, almonds and served with vanilla ice cream. nice crisp and cold dessert. light on tummy😀

really beautiful place, with classy interiors. the best thing is they have a separate compartment for romantic dates with our loved ones and best deal at 2100rs in which u can enjoy movie+pepsi+popcorn+cake+games+one time food at steam😍

but from past experiance i think it don't deserve even 1.0

so we are regular customer over here.

#khakrastick (image attached) : it's a complimentary dish serve with green chatni. khakra sticks are sprinkled with spicy masala. the taste of the chatni was amazing. taste was bit sour (which is good) , roasted jeera, dahi/curd and other ingredients.

#chefspecial (image attached-white gravy) : taste was excellent really liked it. dish was little sweet and without spicy. gravy was made of cashewnut, cheese, dry kasturi methi, andpaneercubes. this was the best i ever had. seriously it was very good.

#veg toofani (image attached) : wow! a medium spicy dish with mix chopped vegetables andpaneercubes served in sizzler vessel.

#mojito (image attached) : mood off? just go and have this mojito. it will make you feel fresh. the taste extraordinary. it was made of lemon, ginger, soda, pudina leaf and jeera. just order this.

#panshot (image attached) : normal restuarant serves saunf after we finish food but this restuarant serves pan shot which is totally different and unique.
tastes good.

so the above dish was suggested by their manager indrajeet . he is very good chef as well as good manager. quantity of 1 dish is enough for 3 people. seriously.

but when we visited recent he doesn't work their anymore. and the food quality is getting worst. management has been changed. chef was different.

because of our recent visit we told them to order chopped vegetable dish medium spicy. but what they gave is 95% of gravy and just 5% of vegetables that too green peas and some other you can even count the vegetables as it was too less. taste was v.bad.
and the quantity was also very very less.

and then we orderer continental rice : i think that was a big mistake we did ordering that. taste was sour. they serve with gravy. bad experience. and about service their was nobody to hear to serve the dish.

we have arranged a farewell party for one of our team members and hence a banquet hall was booked.

hall decoration: good (we haven't asked for but they did it which seems a good gesture)
serving area: food was arranged properly but the accommodation space was less. also, there are no tables in the hall so you have to enjoy a buffet.

we ordered:
cream of carrot soup- delicious! one must try as it's a chef special & gives a creamy continental taste.
manchow soup- good as other places.
afghanipaneertikka- well cookedpaneerwith tangy salad (they haven't provided green chutney which is a must)
spinach and cottage cheese rolls- though a healthier option in starters, taste was remarkable.
baked macaroni with pineapple- perfectly baked macaroni with pina chips. everyone liked it.
paneer dhaniya adraki: you can actually feel the taste of these two ingredients. medium spicy. it was fine!
veg cheese anguri- it's taste was amazing. yummilicious !!! one of the best thing on our buffet.
spring onion paratha- very nice.
mexican rice with corn & beans along with gravy: ok ok. i've tasted better mexican rice dishes.

jalebi: personally, i don't have a sweet-tooth & don't like jalebi must but this was something so exceptional! this is one of the best jalebi's we all have tasted. you just can't miss it.

at the end, they provide pan shots instead of mukhwas. the flavour of pan in the milk base. tastes good!

i went there on my wife's birthday. i wanted to book candle light dinner but it was already booked in advance, so we had ala carte dinner at round table. i strongly recommend anyone looking for candle light dinner, book this place well in advance, great deal and ambience inside for candle light dinner.

they provide complimentary big khakhara with chutney (chutney was delicious) first and at last, pan shots. pan shots were awesome..

we didn't try their sizzlers as we were only two and their quantity is quite large for sizzlers, but they were looking awesome, we would definitely try next time.

we triedpaneerkurkure and baked macaroni pineapple, both were very tasty. we orderedpaneerangara in main course, it wasn't special but good.

their hare onion ka pyaz paratha was also very good.

overall, we njoyed there, menu is little overpriced but can definitely go there.

it's like falling in love with the place again.
being a huge fan of valentine multiplex it is inevitable to miss the food here. i still remember i used to come here since it was salt and pepper and now it's - steam

ambiance is cliche, an old school furniture with a view of the gaurav path on right and multiplex on the left. seating is comfortable and lighting is soothing.

started with cream of carrot soup (quite unusual to see in this menu). awesomeness of cream and crunch of carrot was a perfect taste. triedpaneerkurkure for starters, coated with actual papad chura was a good looking stuff. but after taking the bite felt it could have been better.paneerafghani was an amazingpaneerstart accompanied with some salad. with a half tummy filled, ordered main course.
adraki paneer: delicious
veg egg curry: moderate
pyaz paratha: beautiful
cheese spinach paratha: yum
jeera rice and dal fry: good
in dessert it was jalebi and believe me the best jalebi i tried in recent times
and yes how can we forget. a meal ended with pan and pan shots for mouthfreshner.

altogether a wonderful dining experience on a lunch.
one thing i am still thinking, why the name of the restaurant is steam?

other interesting thing is restaurant serves half portion for almost all the punjabi dishes. so you can try more items...
service of the staff was good and person taking order does have knowledge of the food they prepare, so they can suggest us which food to order according to your taste. for you guys i am writing review of the food we tasted and also their photographs taken by me.
-crispy rumali – it was complimentary for all visitors….. it was really crisp and tasty…. pinch of spices and butter is adding to flavour
-al harira soup – it was in arebian style, mild spice and different flavour than regular soups… i will recommend this.
-mushroom cappuccino soup – it taste like alfredo pasta sauce in diluted foam, was tasty but can be more tasty if it is more thick and bit creamy
-cotted cheese roll – wrap roll with cheese and herbs stuffing. good in taste
-paneer kurkure –paneerwrapped with papad crunch and fried…. can delight people who likes
paneer pakoda. i personally did not like it much.
-mexican platter – platter with cheese ball, onion rings and nachos with salsa and cheese dip. nicely fried and good in taste….
-honey chilly potato – potato finger cooked in chinese style with flavour of honey.
-french revoli – a continental baked dish with lot of cheese and spinach, taste good.
-indonesian sizzler – i find rice base bit dry, can add sauce to it
-cheese anguri – nice authentic punjabi subji with cheese balls
-paneer labadar – mild spicy in taste but maintaining authentic punjabi flavour
-dal tadka – good authentic taste
-jeera rice - good authentic taste
-jalebi – 2 big size jalebi served in a plate, it was good but suggestion is it should be little less sweet and also it was bit over fried.
-pan shorts – small shot ok milk with flavour of pan
-pan – nothing better than to have traditional meetha pan after a heavy lunch….
