station one

arrived unannounced for saturday morning brunch and were soon enjoying two wonderful, fresh, beautifully presented meals. prices good,servicegreat, pleasant decor. will definitely be heading back that way.

have been to station one several times now. it's a great wee cafe with lovely friendly staff, quickserviceand tasty food. the prices are very reasonable. highly recommend the big breakfast!

i went to station one for the first time for breakfast this morning and i think this is a relatively new establishment, nice decor first impressions were inviting. we ordered coffees at the front counter and got menus and were seated. when our coffees arrived we wanted to order but were told to head back up to the counter order which was a little awkward but we did. took a while and our coffees cooled down while doing so because we were seated in the back court yard. i personally prefer tableserviceand paying at the end because ill probably order another coffee after my food or something sweet. the coffee was nice and the food was good too i had a the eggs royale. all in all pretty good but could use a little tuning. they didn't have a cracked pepper grinder though, defiantly got to have cracked pepper :) thanks

booked, offered menu and told which table to go to. had no instruction once we had made our choice what to do so after waiting a further 10 minutes went up to order. it should have been made clear at the beginning if we were to come back to order suggest that they do to avoid confusion.

great meal both ordered seafood platter very pleased with. variation of seafood excellent and chips. dish had tartar sauce and other side of dish nothing perhaps tomato sauce had been omitted not sure.

discovered this gem a few weeks ago and have since been there at different times of the day and on different days. theservicehas never differed from being friendly, attentive, accomodating and most of all consistent. very good coffee and extremely well priced food. good range of cabinet food (including sandwiches with 'real' fillings) priced like the old days (read here more choice than a meagrely-filled $9.50 panini which seems to be the norm at many cafes)makes it difficult to pass up in favour of the menu. but in saying that breakfast pancakes are a triumph.
good variety of seating including outdoor area. looking forward to extended opening hours in the future especially thurs/fri nights.

we went there this morning for breakfast on the way to work, very disappointed. we had eggs, toast, hash brown, mushrooms and tomatoes.
firstly, the bread was hardly toasted not even warm, my partner ordered an extra egg and toast, toast arrived no extra egg. both meals were cold, the only thing that was warm was the mushrooms. good coffee and hot choc.
on a positive note the decor is lovely and theserviceis friendly, however we won't be back.

introduced by a friend and went there on a sunday, the experience was just so enjoyable!! the décor is just fabulous!servicewas just outstanding! i ordered steak sandwich and my husband had big breakfast and my kids had french toast and pancake. i just would like to say the food as well as the coffee were just amazing and delicious!

we loved the experience and would definitely go back!
