station one

i read from somewhere that this cafe won the "cafe of the year" award.
i was not disappointed, it's a really nice cafe shop with very good qualitycoffeeand service.

if more kinds of cabinet food can be provided to increase their variety, the shop can be much better.

i went to station one for the first time for breakfast this morning and i think this is a relatively new establishment, nice decor first impressions were inviting. we ordered coffees at the front counter and got menus and were seated. when our coffees arrived we wanted to order but were told to head back up to the counter order which was a little awkward but we did. took a while and our coffees cooled down while doing so because we were seated in the back court yard. i personally prefer table service and paying at the end because ill probably order anothercoffeeafter my food or something sweet. thecoffeewas nice and the food was good too i had a the eggs royale. all in all pretty good but could use a little tuning. they didn't have a cracked pepper grinder though, defiantly got to have cracked pepper :) thanks

discovered this gem a few weeks ago and have since been there at different times of the day and on different days. the service has never differed from being friendly, attentive, accomodating and most of all consistent. very goodcoffeeand extremely well priced food. good range of cabinet food (including sandwiches with 'real' fillings) priced like the old days (read here more choice than a meagrely-filled $9.50 panini which seems to be the norm at many cafes)makes it difficult to pass up in favour of the menu. but in saying that breakfast pancakes are a triumph.
good variety of seating including outdoor area. looking forward to extended opening hours in the future especially thurs/fri nights.

we went there this morning for breakfast on the way to work, very disappointed. we had eggs, toast, hash brown, mushrooms and tomatoes.
firstly, the bread was hardly toasted not even warm, my partner ordered an extra egg and toast, toast arrived no extra egg. both meals were cold, the only thing that was warm was the mushrooms. goodcoffeeand hot choc.
on a positive note the decor is lovely and the service is friendly, however we won't be back.

introduced by a friend and went there on a sunday, the experience was just so enjoyable!! the décor is just fabulous! service was just outstanding! i ordered steak sandwich and my husband had big breakfast and my kids had french toast and pancake. i just would like to say the food as well as thecoffeewere just amazing and delicious!

we loved the experience and would definitely go back!
