seriously, this may be the most affordable lobster in milwaukee. and when i say affordable, i don’t mean cheap. this is well prepared fresh lobster that will satisfy even the most discerning of palettes. the lobster is served with fries and coleslaw and will certainly leave diners wanting to return for more.

4. live maine lobster dinner (13.95 usd): one pound steamed maine lobster served with fries and coleslaw. what a deal on lobster - fourteen bucks! the lobster was absolutely delicious and wholly satisfying. the french fries were fine, on the other hand, the coleslaw was lackluster.

spurgle on the lobster roll. richly, decadent lunch. fun to look around at other food stalls in the market but this is the best!

wonderful! i love seafood and find it really hard to find fresh seafood at a decent price in wisconsin, and this is why i love this place. i go there very regularly on mondays for their mussels special ($5.95 for a pound). my friend and i always order this and we've never been disappointed. i also order their oysters sometimes and they're great too! i strongly recommend this place if you like seafood.

we went to milwaukee to attend the wedding of dear friends and as any trip, we made the most of it (i should say eat)! i will publish different parts for milwaukee as with all the food we ate, one post would be too big! i am going to start with the public market, located in the 3rd ward, downtown milwaukee. the market showcases artisans and ethnic food; most of the vendors are supposed to be local producers. there are in fact two buildings: the main one (public market) and the annex located across the street where benelux market is. i like this type of market because you can try different types of food or find interesting produces in the shops (the green kitchen offers different types of corn). here is a summary of the different things i have tried: treats: the meltaways at kehr's candies - kehr's candies was founded in 1931 by a couple who wanted to sell caramel corn and potato chips. they became candy makers and are making 70% of what they sell, the rest being purchased from other ma

i mostly enjoyed this place but being from the gulf coast of alabama, i'm a bit of a snob about seafood. i had the calamari app and a fried oyster poboy. the calamari was a bit too greasy but the texture and consistency of the breading was spot on. the oyster poboy was a bit of a disappointment but probably good for the area. i found the fried oysters to be a bit mushy but the flavor was nice. could have used more romulade and the fixins were fresh. then there was the bread. probably the biggest disappointment. it was not french bread. it was too soft on the crust and not enough holes on the inside. well made french bread should have a crusty top and a bottom firm enough to hold up to the filling. my friend got the tuna sandwich and raved about it. fresh fish and very flavorful. i gave a positive review mostly based on my friend's review and my bias. i plan on returning and giving this place a second try.

milwaukee's best seafood. i've been to both coasts, and i realize that we milwaukeeans are never going to eat incredible top-of-the-line seafood in this city... but st. pauls comes close.

i had a public market gift card and my girlfriend and i finally gave this place a try. the highlight was the lobster roll. i love lobster, but i'm lazy and find most shellfish very unattractive when still in their shell. so i usually go with a lobster roll. this one was excellent. not too "mayo-ey" and the toasty warm bun really added a lot to the sandwich - and there were big chunks of lobster in there. loved it - i will be getting this again.

we also split a crab melt sandwich. that was good as well, but not as flavorful. usually i'm not one to complain about too much cheese, but the large amount of cheese on the sandwich overpowered the crab taste. it also made the sandwich a little too salty. i give the crab melt a 6/10 and the lobster roll a 9/10 rating.

my only gripe is that we got a crab cake appetizer that cost $9 - and it was only one crab cake that was kinda small. i thought it tasted excellent, but i really think you should get two of them for that price. from the looks of the other reviews here, i need to come on a tuesday to get the two-for-one appetizers.

for milwaukee - this is great seafood.

my kind of lobster dinner. i've been to st. paul's a few times now and am always happy with what i get. i've tried one of the fish po boys, every oyster they offer, and i recently finally made the step up to the $12.95 lobster dinner. i've never been disappointed. whenever a good college friend is in town (who is much more a foodie than i) we usually meet up at st. paul's for some oysters and schlitz. from there we work our way around downtown and the 3rd ward on an appetizer crawl. always good fun. highly recommend it.

tuesdays or anytime. tuesdays are two for one apps. the pei mussels are a meal sized-portion. the sauce with the steamed clams is wonderful. apps my s.o. likes are the crab cakes and the bay scallops. sweet deal.
don't be put off by the fact that it's in the public market, this is a nice little place and sitting at the bar is fun, too.(artist ray troll t-shirts are servers uniforms)
excellent fish for there or to go also.

half-price oysters every thursday is a great deal with an awesome selection. seafood is greasy, and by far the most affordable lobster dinner around; $12.95!
