we were on a trip to ooty and late afternoon we were checking for some local food. this place looked rather small and too simple but lot of local people were eating here,so we decided to eat here. the food was so good that we ended up going here all 3 days of our stay in ooty.
decor: don't expect much.there is nothing like decor it's a mess after all.
food:i would rate it as 4.5/5
for lunch we had what they call as meals.i ts like a thali they serve you repeatedly. two vegetables,huge plate if rice,sambar,rasam, buttermilk, papad and pickle. home cooked awsome taste.
onion roast: it's like a big dosa with potato filling
parotta with curry: southern version of north indian paratha served with chicken gravy
pepper chicken: was well made
chicken biryani:this was too good.nig plate full of chickenbiryaniwith well cooked chunky pieces and served with extra gravy.
intact we saw a lot of swiggy guys picking up chickenbiryanicontainers for delivery.so i guess this is there high demand dish
we also bought some homemade chocolates from here which were very reasonably priced at the same time great on taste.
if you don't mind a simple set up then this is a highly recommended place in ooty
