simply the best. we had a large work party at the spirit house for lunch yesterday and wow, it was simply amazing.

the food andservicewere both incredible. the coconut soup of salmon was an experience not to be missed. the pork belly was beyond description, just so juicy and tender and tasty. the desserts were out of this world too.

simon, our waiter, was attentive and well versed with the food and the appropriate wine selections for our dishes. he gets a 10/10 from me.

do yourself a favour and head to this amazing gem on the sunshine coast. you will not be disappointed.

again an amazing experience , as usual the flavours outstanding . the food is always so consistent . but what makes it that much more amazing is the beautiful surrounds and ambience and the incredibly attentiveservice. this would be one of our favourite restaurants ever .

gorgeous location for good thai. aboslutely gorgeous spot, went for lunch and sitting by the lake watching the water dragons was fasinating.

was recommended this establishment by numerous people and we were not disappointed! if you are going then definitely book before hand- we didn’t but were there first thing and so lucky! this is the type of place where even if the dishes sound a bit strange and your not sure if your going to like it, they arrive and you tentatively take your first bite and it’s just unbelievably delicious!!
everything includingservicewas just spot on and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the noosa area! however, i will note for those visiting it is a bit expensive and a small drive into the hinterland but for a treat, certainly worth it.

we decided to visit spirit house and were pleased to find only one available booking during our stay, showing the popularity of this spot. after ordering the $95 per person banquet we were pleased to report that the food was simply incredible! the smoked salmon and coconut soup was off the scale and i’d murder a puppy to know how to cook it. do not miss this!servicewas good and the view by the lake was very picturesque.

amazing thai food set in a tropical paradise. we pre booked lunch, as it gets busy, and we were not disappointed.servicewas excellent as was the food and wine. we ordered the scallops, beef salad, soft shell crab and morton bay bug for entree and then the whole fish with watermelon salad. amazing! and dessert we had the lemon curd with honeycomb and figs.

six of us went here for dinner in february as we had a voucher to use there. the surrounds and ambiance is incredible. when we were seated, the waitress was very attentive and went through the menu options with us and her recommendations on amount of food to order.

unfortunately that's where theserviceended - it seems she may have been distracted after this and i had to ask twice for a drink and felt that she was almost non-existant for the rest of our time there. and when she was around she was quite pushy with moving the food around the table. we had already rotated the food around us and we told her this and she still took a plate from one end and moved it to the other end.

onto the food.... we got 3 entrees, 5 mains and 2 sides for the 6 of us which was plenty of food. it may just be me but i really struggle to justify $47 for thai curry considering i can get something very similar around the corner from home for a third of the cost. the food was lovely but nothing incredible, i felt like the curries for example, really needed a little more spice flavour and a bit more creaminess and richness. the pork curry i felt was quite salty and one dimensional. and the prawns were unfortunately very old. my mum actually took and bite and spat it out, they were very obviously off. the best meal for me was the scallops - so refined and beautiful complex flavours very carefully put together. the scallops were what i was expecting with a place like this.

don't get me wrong, the food was good but for the price that you pay, i would much rather invest this into a dining experience that is nothing like my local thai joint and has thought and detail go into the meals. i feel comparing it to the fine dining modern aus restaurants in brisbane, they are on a much higher level and worth the money.

beautiful place stunning food, we had the vegan set menu with equally delicious cocktails & wine,servicewas very relaxed considering, but would definitely return. well worth the wait to get in.

as a big foodie i was so impressed with my lunch today at spirit house. such a beautiful restaurant & location.servicewas spot on. highly recommended.

we had the large banquet for 6 people. from the first entree right through the whole banquet everything was perfect.
we had two little one who were also made to feel very welcome.
i highly recommend that you take the time to have lunch at this fine restaurant.

i haven't been here for some years now so tonight was the night to come back.

my friend and i had a $100 banquet each and the food was great but a little inconsistent. theservicewas excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect.

we ate little cones of something tasty for entree served with a great little salmon soup.

for mains we had pork belly which was amazing, it fell apart. then onto some crab followed by a delicious whole barramundi and beef ribs served w a delicious side of compressed cucumber and pineapple.

then onto dessert which was a panacotta w pineapple shavings and a good ice cream.

w that we had a different desert consisting of papaya jellies and other goodies, which i can't remember haha

overall it was an amazing night, definitely worth a visit if your on the sunshine coast. the atmosphere is really peaceful and relaxing.

all i wanted was a hammock and my night would have been perfect, hahaha

this is a food pilgrimage we've excitedly made over the years and never been disappointed. an ambience and atmosphere completely unparalleled, with beautiful reflections over the candlelit pond at night and water dragons and turtles during the day. today was the latter.
so glad they still have the delicate salmon and coconut soup on offer, theatrically poured from a teapot. impact plus.
of the others dishes served as part of our banquet, each of us had a different favourite...which just goes to prove how divine each course was.
cocktails were amazing andservicewas attentive but unobtrusive.
a real treat for lovers of thai food!

our 5th time here and as always, amazing. i think this has to be the most beautiful setting for a restaurant i have ever been to and is definitely unique and special. food was incredible andserviceis always top notch.

update jan 2018:
visited again after our very good experience last time. this time we had the $85 banquet and all the meals with the exception of the deserts were fabulous. the salmon soup was divine as was the fried whole fish. it was a 10/10 in food andserviceuntil we got to the deserts...which sadly were terrible. the apricot desert was incredibly sour and the chocolate desert was also pretty bad. we ended up leaving both half eaten which for us is a big deal as we love deserts normally (in fact our last trip here, the desert was our favourite!)

overall a great experience once again albeit this time finished on a bit of a bad note given the very poor deserts.

first visit 2016:
fantastic location among a tropical rainforest like setting. the decor and atmosphere is wonderful.

the meals were generally of high standard. we had the coriander chicken (beautiful smokey flavor), the quite good pork belly, the decent but not as good as expected crab cakes with the main disappointment being the dry, bland and burnt (!) $8 roti bread. that really needs to be improved. thankfully we finished with the sensational kafir lime cheesecake (wow good!). while we didn't have the whole fried fish, we noticed lots of other tables ordered it and it looked fantastic.

theservicewas excellent and friendly. well worth driving there from noosa for an excellent experience. expect a fair hit to the credit card though, many of the tiny entrees are in mid $20s and if it's a public holiday there is an additional $10/person charge.
