soy teriyaki bistro

this is my first review on zomato. soy teriyaki bistro was so good that i had to download this app and tell everyone about my experience. the staff is incredibly friendly and conversational. if you can't decide what to get, just ask them. they recommended i get a queso taco and theirspicychicken teriyaki. it was all outstanding, but the queso taco was the star of the show. from the moment it was placed on the table, i knew i was in for something special. the queso taco is a soft corn tortilla, melted mozzarella, beautifully cooked skirt steak, and a generous scoop of delicious queso cheese. you can't go to soy without getting at least one. then came the teriyaki which was served with freshly cooked vegetables and white rice.

i can't recommend this restaurant enough. it is truly a gem. do yourself a favor and try it.

perfect lunch!. we had dumplings,spicyfried rice, and aspicypork dish. the food was excellent. friendly and fast service. we will definitely eat here again!

very tasty food, off-the-charts friendly staff and great prices. they talked us through ordering and made sure nothing was toospicyfor the kids. fresh food served with a personal trust. worth a stop.

real gem. some of the most friendly people working here you'll ever find, serving excellent food made to order in-house, using fresh ingredients. the ratings are high because they earn them. lots of interesting and some more traditional menu items. i'd never had bibimbap, so i asked the hostess/order taker and she described it, as well as a proper way to mix and eat it. it's an excellent mix of quick grilled beef, fresh vegies (some cooked, some a little crispy) an egg over easy and perfectlyspicyyet flavorful chili sauce, served in a big bowl with rice. loved it! herself also went a little out of the norm and had their version of "hot chicken." a dish of spiced stir fry chicken slices served on fresh greens with rice. just the right amount of building spice and chili flavor with the meat. it came with a "slaw" of fresh shredded cabbage topped with their dressing. cool, fresh, crispy and excellent. perfect accompaniment. since it was our first time there and we orderedspicydishes, the owner came out to check to make sure we knew they were spicy. we're good with that. she then came back out to see how we were doing with them and answer questions. genuinely interested in her customers. can't wait to try the korean pork.

i went on tuesday for bulgogi but they only serve it on friday! so i got the bibimbap and it was great! you might want to specify the amount of siriachi they put on it because mine was toospicyfor me to fully enjoy it. definitely will e back!

finally brentwood has a good ethnic restaurant. i ate here today after driving by every day on the way to the y and noticing it.immediately i went to urbanspoon to see what others had to say and decided to give it a try after such good reviews and i too was was vey impressed.i got thespicypork bulgogi which came with lettuce on the side for wrapping the bulgogi if desired.this is comfort food at its best and for a spice loving person like i am ,the kick and flavor was just perfect.the pickled veggies were crisp and married so well with the texture of the pork.i will be back soon!

great place to eat!. i have to say i love this place. they have a daily lunch special, and then the regular menu items. thespicybowl happens to be my favorite menu item with chicken or steak added. the steak is always so very tender. this little secret in brentwood is good enough to travel from all over the nashville area for lunch if you have time. come early as the place fills up quickly every day just after it opens.

every time i go i try something different. the lettuce wraps are nothing that u have ever had before. amazing !!'

first time at soy. this place is a must! from the food to the service. everyone in there spoke to each customer and thanked them for coming in. the food... amazing... i recommend thespicyfried rice. yum! the prices are incredible the ingredients are fresh. what a great find... and its in brentwood! yay!

way to go guys.... repeat customer for sure.

hidden gem!. tucked beside a dry cleaner off of maryland way in brentwood, this little restaurant deserves many props. my son and i ducked in recently to get off the road and out of a terrible storm..lucky us! i had thespicychicken fried rice bowl and my son had the dumplings. incredible food! and the portions were huge. very friendly staff and great atmosphere. my new favorite asian bistro. 5 stars!

simply amazing!. i do have to say, i have not eaten too many asian tacos in my lifetime, probably because i do not prefer to eat asian cuisine that much.
well, i decided to try one of these tacos i heard so much about, and i do have to say, they are simply amazing!!!
i'm not sure what it is about these things that make it so delicious, but thespicysauce and korean slaw really add another dimension to these delicious delights!
that coupled with a very friendly staff will definitely make me come back to try more on the menu. i heard so much about the fried rice (spicy) as well, but i'm sure everything on the menu is good.
thank you, soy, for turning me back on to asian cuisine, and i hope it all tastes as good as this experience!!!

awesome food!!! awesome service!!!. my fiance and i stopped in last week to try this place, and realized we had just found a hidden gem in brentwood. we will definitely be regular customers! the food is absolutely amazing! i had the chicken and shrimp teriyaki, and it was delicious. the owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. we definitely appreciated their hospitality, and the food is off the charts!

if you are looking to try something new, and are sick of the chain restaurants, you have to try this place. i look forward to trying so many more of their tasty dishes. the homemade sauces are incredible. try a side of thespicyranch sauce with your meal. it's so good!

to sum it all up.......wow!!! you'll love it! i'm already hooked!

best shrimp tacos ever!. i have literally spent many years traveling the globe and eating all kinds of food from many cultures. i must say, hands down that this food, service and atmosphere impress me. i have only been here twice. i had the traditional bowl with shrimp and then today the shrimp tacos. personally, i likespicyfood..and flavorful. the tacos were out of this world! i love the house sauces. not all of the food isspicymind you. they have a number of options that are also not spicy. not only was the food good but the hospitality was genuine and sincere. i would recommend this to all. trust me, you will not be disappointed! my fiance' and i will be regulars now. enjoy!

as a connoisseur of asian cuisine, this place is excellent. the food is extremely flavorful and a great value. make sure to get a taco with aspicybowl. great combo!

everything i've tried is the best around. can't go wrong with the korean inspired tacos, thespicybowl, teriyaki plates, or the salads. the flavors in the dishes compliment each other extremely well. great food, great service!
