love southern hops!!!. we eat at southern hops all the time and love it!! their food is fantastic, especially the pulled pork pizza, hot yaki wings, and reuben!! it's all good, you really can't go wrong. the owners are awesome and are always very welcoming. it's a really cool, low-key, and laid back atmosphere. southern hops is definitely one of my new florence favorites!

southern hops. food is better for lunch than for dinner.

good beer. good selection of beer at a reasonable price.. java porter is good. (house selections available as well) the pizza is also good. home recipe i would guess.. try it out for yourself yo

waited over 2 hours for a cheese pizza. rude waitress, marginal food. definately not worth the wait.

it's unique, extremely casual and a great place to meet friends. go and enjoy some great "pub grub", local live music and the area's only opportunity to sample craft-brewed beers - that is, if you are so inclined. why we will go (again) based upon our experience, we give southern hops brewing company a solid 2 of 3 on our unique restaurant rating scale . the food was very good and we'd cross town to visit again, especially for low country reuben sandwich and the trippy dip pretzel plate appetizer. more about those below. we also like their concept for local music in a spacious (cavernous), smoke-free venue. it has eight hdtvs and favorite pub games. the outdoor beer garden features horseshoes, corn hole and bocce ball, as well as serves as another music venue. background ( per website ) southern hops brewing company is owned and operated by james deaton, christian gibson and randy deaton. the loca

one of the best i've been to.... i've been to lots of brewpubs. i lived about 0 miles from the abita brewpub for 9 yrs. this place is great. i found it by accident when i moved to florence. the beer is very good with a great balance of flavors. all of the food i've had here is outstanding.

nice addition to florence dining. we were pleasantly surprised to find a non smoking dining option in florence. our family is not easy to please and everyone was happy. my girls loved their pizza, my wife was very pleased with her garden salad, and i enjoyed some competition quality barbecue and a very fine golden ale.
many compliments to the efforts of jimmy and family. we look forward to our next visit.

blah. not excited with the menu. the pizza was not very good. salad was just iceberg lettuce (cheap). the micro beer just didn't compare to other brewery's i've been to. no red meat? what's this?

crazy!! first time coming in today, brought my parents and it's been over a hour in half still didn't get our food! waitress hasn't refilled our waters, ask was it usually this long she said yes, we make everything from scratch!! think it was beyond craziness we wait this long fir pizza at lunch time!!! as of right now wouldn't come back! wouldn't suggest this place too no family if they just wanted to come and have lunch with there kids!! terrible first experience! should have went to pizza hut!!

although the food service was slow – the food was very good. the pepper buffalo wings were very tasty, as were the varied styles of pizzas. of course, had i not been busy trying beverages i’m sure i could have found room for more food.

shbc. i went in on opening night and a few times since everyone has a smile and asked me if theres anything i needed. the black pearl draught and the pretzel dip is a great snack. live music, non smoking and the general manager is a easy going and entertaining. definitly what florence needs a laid back place to grab a drink and relax.

great beer, food, & service. we would recommend this place 100% its such an amazing atmosphere.
