southerleighs is really good, southern, home cooking. thedeviledeggs are a must must must have!! food is expensive, especially if you grew up with a southern mom who could cook almost everything on the menu just as well (except southerleighsdeviledeggs which i'm pretty sure are gods favorite food). but, they make everything fresh, utilizing the ingredients sold at the pearl farmers market. so you're getting that farm fresh southern food that you may remember from your grandmas plantation kitchen, but you can't get anymore without a time machine. i think it's actually deceptively simple cooking, which is the best kind of cooking, and requires a really great chef to get right. worth the visit for sure.
the beers are good, nothing special necessarily, but as good as anyone else. overall really good food, great atmosphere, good beer. what more could you ask for? except 12 moredeviledeggs!!!
