smashburger

haven't tried anything else but the norcal smashburger, but i love it so much (the brie cheese and grilled onions are a good combination on a bacon cheeseburger) that it will be hard to order something else! :)

excuse me, are you open?. good fresh food, custom built to order. lots of choices in order to get exactly what you want in your burger.

criticizm: i arrived late evening and wondered if they were open. no indication from the street side if they are open. window is blacked out, no "open" sign. drove around and saw all the chairs with their legs up, on the tables. looked empty. saw someone walking so i tried the door.

it opened so i stuck my had in and asked when they closed. the answer was that they would be closing in an hour!

they need to indicate to the street front whether or not they are open.

edit: i have returned 2 or 3 times and enjoy the burgers better, each time. good food. my advice: design your own burger exactly as you want it with any of many possible ingredients and buns. the price will likely be almost exactly what one of their suggested burgers on the menu is. take advantage of all the choices you have here.

this is probably the best burger i've had in a long time. it was filling and flavorful, and the smash fries were also delicious. i think i've made myself a burger snob after this one.

this place was interesting. there are so many different types of burger joints that everybody hypes up and they aren't that great. this place is a little of the opposite... the burgers are smashed right on the grill, which causes them to be very greasy. however, the flavor is great! they definitely suit your desires while still keeping things simple. the fries reminded me of mcdonalds and weren't great, the shakes are also just okay. the restaurant is a little small and things are crammed. it's definitely worth trying. it's a good burger that flies a little under the radar. i'd say it's a 3/5...

recommendable for the intermediate stop

they serve excellent burgers of a refined style, tasty, and nicely cooked. orders were carried out in no time at all.

i was pleasantly surprised. this was my first time eating at one of these restaurants and the food was really good. the haystacks onions were super thin and crispy and the fries were perfect! i also got a veggie sandwich (basically a burger minus the meat) and it was exactly what i wanted. the staff was very attentive as well and made sure that i was getting exactly what i'd ordered. i will definitely eat here again.

wanted to try this place. it was open and a few customers were seated. we walked up to the front and waited. and waited. after 5 minutes we went to leave. that is when an employee finally walked out and unenthusiasticly asked if we wanted something. no thanks. your customer service sucks.

very dirty. haven't done the dining area for a week

smashburger. had a smashburger. meat was cooked perfect and fresh. too messy. buns need to be toasted. the burger just fell apart. hard to eat.

the burger was really good! i’d rate it above crown burger and probably even in-n-out. it still doesn’t top my favorite place so far, lucky 13 – but it’s pretty close. i’ve already since been told that i need to try the fried pickles and i also want to try the sweet potato fries and veggie frites – so we will be back soon.

yum. i love any place where i get to create my own meal. brie cheese on a burger...sooo good!

the next time you have a craving for a burger, make it a point to head over to a smashburger joint and ask them for the sin city burger.

addicted. i don't what they are putting in their burgers but my wife and i are addicted. this has become our goto place - we have even found ourselves choosing it over "nicer" restaraunts. we may need rehab if it gets any worse.

mushroom swiss on egg bun +bacon + grilled onions - burger perfection!

i went with the bbq bacon cheddar (bbq sauce, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and haystack onions on an egg bun), mostly because of the haystack onions. the best burger i’ve ever had in my life (rave burger in san mateo) had the same onions on it. i’m not always big on bbq sauce, but it works very well here.

hands down the best burger around, love the option of a multi-grain bun! fries are just average but they do have sweet potato fries.
