i know this is my second review...but.... alright. i went with a group from work-on their dime. i figured i could at least give silver star a chance to redeem themselves, especially since it was nothing out of my pocket this time.
there were four of us, all ladies. we walked in and were promptly ignored. what i mean by this is that there was a server/hostess right there and she walked away. of course, as a previous comment suggested, when a group of three men came in right after us, two servers and the original hostess magically appeared.
and, as another comment stated, we watched hostesses routinely-routinely-pull their pants out of every crevice a woman has...then deliver food. it was almost a choreographed dance routine-step into a semi-private area, where only a few people could see (one of my coworkers suggested maybe the servers felt like since we're chicks, we "get" pulling pants out of those places. i still don't want to see it.), squat, pull, pull, shimmy. seriously.
so...ok. in all seriousness, if you're the owner and read this, please have a chat with your wait staff about appropriate attire/not pulling pants out of your...erm...you get the idea. it's so obvious that they're catering to men that it borders on pathetic, so i guess that's why they figure they have to wear stuff like that. but ladies frequent your establishment too...and to be treated like crapp, then to have servers give us our food with "diggy fingers" is not acceptable.

first time, last time. went to silver star for the first time this weekend. i'm not a cheapo, but i don't really expect to spend 60 bucks for two people to eat barbeque. server was efficient as all hades, but we were left feeling more like hindrances than customers. food was pretty good, but not 60 bucks worth of good. agree with previous reviewer-if you're a female going in to eat, be prepared to get less than great service-this place is definitely suited for men, from the daisy duke wearing barely-legals to the hee-hawing next door in the bar. not being a true southern belle myself, this place was definitely not my scene and i doubt i'll be returning. i pray not, anyway.
