if you are not thai, and you want yourfoodspicy thai hot, remember the above phrase. some thai places lower the heat depending on whom they see sitting at their tables. i try to convey some thai-ness to the waiter so i don't get stiffed on the heat level.
of all the thai places i have been in the valley, this is my 2nd favorite. they have some inconsistencies with management that can kill thefoodsometimes. if the main cook goes on vacation, gets sick, takes the day off, or for some reason gets let go a 2nd or 3rd time, the owner takes over cooking duties and thefoodturns into a luby's equivalent of blandness.
if they still have their main cook, then the dishes will put your palate on cloud 9. this is one place you want to bring friends and out of towners and introduce them to some of the best thai the valley has to offer.
entrees are normally under $10, you can't lose.
one more advice. if you order a noodle entree (pad thai, pad see ewe, etc...), don't forget the lime! it will put your noodle dish on a whole other level of awesomeness.
