the place is a little over rated.

yes, it is more like a heritage place for not just people of jodhpur, but for anyone who has even one relative who ever came here - because mishrilal peda is a must take away when in jodhpur. thus, a lot of people have nostalgia factor attached to it.

however, the place is overrated right now, because the peda, thelassi- are is a bit too sweet. the kind of sweet that hits you in the throat.
as a child, when i had these pedas in my hometown, not in jodhpur - they had a perfect balance of elaichi and sweet.

the peda right now is so sweet that if you make kulfi, rabdi out of the mesh of peda, with just one tea spoon of sugar in 1 liter milk, it would turn out to be perfect sweet.

mishrilallassiwala a famous landmark in jodhpur. located near clock tower this place is not only frequented by locals but also by foreigners and indian tourist. established in 1927 famous among people of all age groups.
when i got chance i couldn't miss it.
fromlassito sweet delicacies to namkeen to mirchi wada this place has all.
i simply loved thelassiwith malai (cream on top) best known as makhaniyalassithat's so creamy and rich that foodies use the term "eating" for the drink. it is best tasted with a spoon due to heavy texture. loved it 😍
it is must have if you are in jodhpur add it in your to do list in jodhpur!!!!!!

located near the clock tower, the place is really famous for its rabdi and makhaniya lassi. tried out the same and one could surely feel the difference. priced at 45 each thelassiand rabdi have decent portion size and really good taste. while the taste is good, we did not find it exceptional. we also tried the mirchi wada which turned out to be really good.

no trip to jodhpur is complete without thelassiand kachori at shri mishrilal! tucked away in a quite corner facing the clock tower, this iconic eatery has some of the best snacks you can get your hands on.
you have people pouring in at all times of the day (because the stuff here are worth the hype).

the prices are reasonable and the service is real quick. their all time famous makhaniya lassi, rabri and gulab jamun are to die for! among savouries - mirchi vada and kachori will top the list!

an old sweet shop counter with tables inside a small room as you walk past a narrow passage.

shri mishrilal calls itself a hotel despite a mostly sweet, milk, lassiand kachori menu. being situated right below the clock tower gate makes it a big touristy attraction too. supposed to be famous for it’s makhaniya ( buttery)lassiso that’s what i tried on a nippy morning . thelassipriced at inr 40 is served with a small spoonful of white creamy butter ( nearby market stall folks say they used to be served a big dollop many years ago that’s slowly reduced in size ). thelassitastes more like a liquefied shrikhand honestly. nothing great like the amritsar lassi.

don’t expect cleanliness here nor a great flavour of the lassi. over hyped sadly and probably best to brand this a liquid shrikhand !!!!

mishrilal hotel is located near ghantaghar. this legendary place is running successfully since 1927. this place is famous for many things but they are particularly famous for makhaniyalassiand rabri. i really loved makhaniyalassiwhich was thick and creamy. rabri was great, not that much sweet. this place is almost always crowded with people. don't expect classy ambience because hotel is very small.
