while i personally detest the indian lunch buffet offerings at most indian restaurants in the u.s. ( boring options, onecurryrecycled across multiple dishes so they all taste the same, overeating without really enjoying anything in particular) , shiva's was one rare exception. any trips to the bay area were incomplete without the sunday buffet at shiva's! for the hapless desi craving close to authentic indian food, shiva's certainly hits all the spots! in particular, loved their freshly prepared dosa counter, which i haven't seen in any other indian buffet, at least not in seattle where i lived.
