the best part of this place is that it falls midway to triund and offers a huge variety of food. i have been here twice. i came here 5 years ago for the first time and there was no one else here. but this time, it was overcrowded.
this time we ordered a pizza, hummus and pita, 2 honey ginger lemon teas, tossed and fried potato and vegetables, mixed sauteed vegetables, and 2 masala chais. everything was good but the service was slow, probably due to the crowd here. our total bill was around 1400/-
the ambience here is lovely and the scenary is picturesque. i will come back here if i'm ever heading to triund again from this route.

shiva cafe was responsible for one of the best and the worst food experience of the entire trip. it is a artsy cafe located above bhagsunag waterfall and has a very hippie vibe to it. great place to relax after a long climb and enjoy good food. the only thing i would not recommend is buying the thali here. i don't know why i did that but i definitely regret doing it. rest of the food is good. staff is polite and know what they are doing. the ambience is also 👌

the cafe is built very high and the trek to the cafe is very tiring thought reaching up feels very accomplishing and the view is very beautiful. the food is okay-okay and nothing really special but the vibe of the place is great. they also serve hookah which was not at all good. the service is very very slow as they only had 2 serves operating the whole cafe. do try their hummus, it was great! other food items were okayish.

we visited shiva cafe after dark around 7 pm. we were almost the only customers. they were playing trippy music and the ambience was great - surrounded my mountains in the winter with the sound of the waterfall in the background. we just ordered a hot chocolate which was just okay 3/5. the menu seemed a little overpriced but can't comment since i didn't order anything else.

anyone can just go for enjoying the view. food is not very great. the cost is just for the vibe there. for that it's worth one time.

this café lies in the heart of the beautiful bhagsu waterfall in mcleodganj. we can most definitely say that the trek to shiva café was every bit worth it. because it is at the top of the waterfall, the view from the café is mesmerizing.

to start with we ordered a normal hot coffee which was decent. we also ordered an indian breakfast which had 2 parathas served along with pickle and an omlette. the parathas were very delicious. in the english breakfast that we had it had 2 sunny side up omlettes, slice breads and stir fried veggies. the veggies were tossed lightly and tasted very good. we also had maggie, mashed potatoes with stir fried mushrooms. the potato mash was very creamy. must try.

to end our meal, we had the banana nutella pancake and it was indeed a perfect end to our meal. 🥰

one of the best decisions we made while in mcleodganj was to visit this highly popular cafe, thanks to the social media, it is now a cult and a trip to mcleodganj is considered incomplete if you have not been here.

it is a trek of around 30-40 minutes from the bhagsunag temple and the cafe is located right above the waterfall. you do feel exhausted and tired a bit but all of that is gone once you reach at the top.

the ambiance is just terrific and this place has a nice view of the valley. coming to food, the quality is top notch and the prices are fairly reasonable.

this place is waayyy above the waterfall, a lot of people got tired and turned back before reaching here. it’s a nice place to sit and chill, pass away 1-2 hours. food is okay, nothing great. music was good. my advice- sit with tea or any other beverage while staring into the valley and looking around

visited here this december, the way to reach the cafe is a journey itself and the beautiful view from here is a bonus. i found food to be average although coffee was good , it was surely a cherished experience and i wouldn't mind revisiting the place
