kudlas favourite and most loved place "shetty lunch home", brings to us the most yummiest and flavour-filled crab ghee roast. the aroma itself is enough to get you drooling. the meat is really soft and juicy, soaked in oodles of ghee and masala. the essence of the ghee roast masala is spread out all over the crab, making each part of it finger lickin' gooood!! topped of with cashew, this dish can be best eaten with butter naan or thali (meals)
i would also recommend the chicken ghee roast and fishfryout here. this place is the best for some authentic mangalorean food.

chicken thali consist of rice, a traditional mangalorian chicken curry,vegetable and pickle.
chicken ghee is delicious over here.the ghee roast flavour is very rich.
squid sukka is also good
ghee roast chicken biryani is ok
fish tawafryhas lot of a flavour and there is good amount of thickish masala which comes along with the fish,it tastes so good.

i m a big fan of anupam’s coast to coast located in bangalore. i was not aware that shetty lunch house was also part of anupam’s, till i paid a visit this time.
we were here for lunch last week. tried their fish thali, kingfish tawa fry, prawns rava fry, crab ghee roast, neer dosa, veg meals, kori roti, mango lassi. loved everything we had from here. prawns rawafrywas super crisp and tasted fresh and yumm. the crab ghee roast had the perfect rich ghee roast masala. both the meals were delicious. the fish thali had variety of fish preparations, unlike the usual one fish curry in a thali. kori roti was so good here, it’s a must have just like everything else we had!
service was good too.

been here on a dry day. the ghee roast items tasted very bad. be it chicken or mushroom. the only item that tasted good was neer dosa with cashew nut masala. squid was not fresh and tasted hard. when asked to the staff, they said that is how it is. baby corn ravafrywas also good. but other items including fish was below average.

ambience is crappy and loud. service is bad and slow. ghee roast and rawafrymasala was bitter and the rawafrytasted like acid. waste of money. not worth visiting.

prawns ghee roast is like heaven.. spicy and balanced with ghee.. anjal tavafryis yummm... with a glass of wine.. just complets the whole experience...

in my attempt to try out well-known fish places for i m sucker for seafood
i landed in @shettylunchhome located in hampankatta .
decent place which is one of go-to place for most of the mangaloreans i must say
and truly agree with it 🤗

ghee roast squid on my plate was scrumptious and i went on hogging so much all by myself 😁
and couldn't get enough of it 🤪

rawafry(banguda) gave me complete home feels and nostalgia
although i don't prefer bony fishes
i enjoyed this one 😍
and to complete my meal i had the veg thali as my main .

was pretty disappointed with the taste..the masalafryfor bangude was done with ghee roast masala n the pulimunchi neither had puli nor munchi

the best seafood thali i have ever had. food quality is excellent. staff are attentive and ambiance is also good. my parents and i chose to sit the ac room and really enjoyed our meal. we ordered additional fishfrytoo along with the thali

always wanted to taste mangalorean delicacies. had an opportunity to visit mangalore in the recent past. had a wonderful experience in the shetty lunch home. in lunch in had neer dosa along b with some chicken curry which was supposedly made from country chicken. it was indeed tasty. in starters i had squid sukka and ghee roast chicken. since i didn't eat fish here so i visited this placed again for dinner and had pomfretfryas suggested by the captain. liked the taste and experience of mangalore cuisine nonetheless.

about ambience, it was nothing much but still this place had a typical charm about it. the staff was really courteous and friendly.

name indicates the food they serve... it's a bar and restaurants, but family rooms are available and u will get awesome seafood dishes like curry, dry andfryitems..
i recommend their fish fry.

wonderful food.. i ordered enjal masalafryand neer dosa with kundapura chicken.. the taste was exquisite.. definitely coming back here.. value for money is good. definitely recommend it to people who want to try local mangaluru cuisine
