shark club sports bar & grill

opened my eyes!. i wasn't sure about this place because of the mixed bag of reviews but i found it all around pretty awesome. it was a bit slow getting greeted at first but the place was packed and service picked up from there. willbackback for the next ufc.

shockingly bad.. stopped by to pick up some soup during my lunch break. the place wasn't busy at all. waited to be given a menu. waited to have my order taken. bartender flagged down the manager to get the soup from the kitchen. waited some more for him to bring it to me. watched while on the way over he stood there chatting while holding my soup. i was surprised to see that i'd paid $7 for about a cup of soup, that didn't come with bread and when i asked if it did, the manager said, no, but i can go and get you some crackers? gee you think? even more surprised when i took the soup from him and immediately noticed it was cold. when i pointed that out to him, he asked if i'd like him to gobackand heat it up. having already waited far too long to receive it, i passed fearing i'd have no break left by the time i got it back. i'm sorry but if the kitchen didn't notice it was cold, and if the manager of the whole place can take it from the kitchen, carry it across the bar in a think plastic container in his hands and not notice that there is no warmth coming from it, and said manager is like 40 years old and can't get soup right.... then there's not much hope left to even get it re-heated. i'm sure it would have been better not cold, but it tasted like the campbell's ready to eat roasted red pepeper you buy in the tetra pack box. unimpressed.

constant smile. what's better than walking into a restaurant filled with gorgeous women, a casino, massive screens and tons of seating? don't worry i'll wait. not a lot of places can offer all of these things without having to leave the room to move to another. food was very good, we were greated by the manager who asked how everything was going. it's always nice to have management ask the customer, brings a sense of warmth to the table. great times always at shark! will bebacksoon!

first time to this restaurant. the food was awesome. great service. very nice location. great for watching a match. definitely goingbackwith family & friends!

it's like an upscaled classy version of hooters. the ladies here are a sight to see, the food's pretty good too! service can be slow, but amy busy restaurant can be, it's like people expect it to be slow but then complain its sloww, and when it's busy, complain its busy and that the service sucks... makes no sense to me. i'll bebacksoon sharkies!

i'm not sure what brings bebackto shark club, the girls and the service, or the food. either way there's a reason to go back. the girls are gorgeous and the service can be a little slow at times, but any busy restaurant or lounge is going to be. nothing better than a nice bite before a game or concert either!

bachelorette for my besty. we brought my best friend here to kick off her bachelorette party and had so much fun that we ended up happily spending most of the night there. the staff (from the girl i spoke with to book our reservation, to the serving staff, bartenders, dj and all staff we dealt with throughout the night) were extremely attentive, friendly and fun. they treated us very well. we regretted going to our next destination instead of just staying at the shark all night. i will bebackfor round two on the tuna tacos - i've been craving them ever since! :)

double fisted burger. have gone a couple times now and the food is great!! the salt and pepper wings are amazing. the double fisted burger was seasoned so well and was delicious. i'm not a huge calamari fan, but i would definitely order it again here. the drinks are small and kind of pricey, but overall pretty good. we'll continue to gobackto watch football and enjoy some food and drinks!

one happy customer!. we had chicken wings and a chefs salad, both dishes had beautiful presentation and were delicious.
for drinks we had ceasars and beers both very reasonably priced for an urban downtown sportsbar (about $6-$6.50). the very modern sportsbar had a great feel and a lot of energy. we showed up before a big concert at the mts centre, the place was packed! we snagged a table that just opened and told the server that we were in a rush to make it to the show. although we never complained (we recieved our food after only 30 minutes) she cameback3 times to appologize about the delay and that they were backed up. when the food came, the server promptly told us the food was free because of the wait! 5 minutes later, the manager came and also appologized! we never even complained! i am so very impressed with the entire experience and i will definately go back!

very disappointing overall. i have been to shark club in winnipeg about 4 times and have no plans to go back. i have never received good service, the waitresses are definitely not hired based on skill or intelligence. the only requirement i could see in common was how little clothing they were willing to wear and most of them aren't even attractive. the last time i went it took over 20 mins for our server to even notice we were there and when our food finally arrived after much trials in the ordering department with the genius waitress, it was undercooked and wrong. the server sent the manager to our table to deal with the issue because for some reason takingbackfood to the kitchen is complicated...? the manager didn't even understand what the problem was and had the most annoying shrill voice ever. we got sick of answering the same question over and over (no hamster in her wheel) so we got fed up with trying to explain the problem (again, undercooked food... complicated i know) and finally just decided not to eat the food which we were charged for anyway. and i appreciate a girls good looks as much as the next guy but fake tits in my face at dinner is not nearly enough to keep me coming back. it is actually the food and service i go out for so needless to say i have a low opinion of shark club in that area. the place is beautiful and modern and that's where the good points start as well as end. wish it had more positives, winnipeg could use a new restaurant that's actually worth having, instead we get another low end hooters.

three words for this bar. worst service ever. my boyfriend and i recently went here for an early dinner before a jets game. all of the tables were reserved so we sat at the bar. it took over ten minutes for the bar tender to ask us what we wanted then another 15 minutes just to tell him what we wanted to eat. we were then sitting there with empty glasses for a while until we saw a girl by the casino side selling beers. we ended up getting our drinks from her all night due to the poor service at the bar. we proceeded to play the vlts till our food arived. when it did we sat and ate and when we were done the bar tender finnaly asked us if everything was ok and if we wanted anything else. (side note we've now been at the bar for an hour and the bar tender has talked to us a total for three times) after we ate we decided to go try our luck in the casin and order beers from the beer girl. then we decided to gobackto our seats only to find other people sitting there with our jackets still on our chairs. i then took our jackets off our chairs and we got our bill. when i was ready to pay it i tried to get the bartenders attention and i literally got pushed by a server. it was not an accidental bump in or shove, but this girl from behind me grabbed my left shoulder and pushed me while saying excuse me. for a while i stood there stunned and looked around because i could not believe that just happened. the bar tender finally came and i gave him cash and walked away. i have never been treated that way in a restaurant before. the waitresses need to learn how to be more respectful and the bar tenders need more service training.

ok for lunch. a group of co-workers and i went here for lunch. the place is pretty nicely done, but it's a bit coolish temperature-wise. the waitresses seem to be the type you see at earl's...all legs. after reading the other reviews here we expected that service would be slow, but it wasn't. our food came fairly quick and everyone liked what they had. the only complaint was that the steak sandwich was a bit small. the prices are much better than tavern across the street. we'll most likely bebacksince it's so close by to our place of work.

lipstick on a shark. this place certainly looks pretty, but at the end of the day the food and service were questionable. went with a colleague for lunch yesterday. you can't help notice that this place subscribes to an earls/moxies type policy when it comes to hiring their servers. emphasis is on how they look more than their skills. to be fair, our waitress was attentive and friendly but when she reviewed the side-dish options that came with my steak sandwich she neglected to mention that some of them involved a $1-3 additional charge and left us with the impression that any option we chose was included in the menu price. i did gobackand look at the menu later and the supplementary charges were indicated, but the server ought to have mentioned it. my sandwich was cooked properly as ordered and was well seasoned but my caesar salad tasted like it was tossed with a lame bottled dressing and the onion rings were a small portion and a little limp. certainly not worth the $3 extra charge versus the "normal" side dishes. there are better options out there.

the place is snazzy but the food is terrible! someone needs to go easy on the salt there in the kitchen. will probably comebackfor their drink specials though.

went here for the first time last thursday for a friend's farewell party. there's 10 of us and service was very slow. our server was "very friendly" tho. she thinks we're like bff, she even came up to us and said, "what's up bitches?" -- sorry but i don't think that's appropriate. we alway have to flag her down to ask for more drinks. we couldn't even find her at the end when we wanna pay for our food.

food was good and affordable. and the restaurant/bar looks very nice. didn't go to the casino area tho since i don't gamble. but will comebackfor sure. hopefully our server will be better this time lol
