shark club sports bar & grill

if you're not a group of 10 middle aged men that doesn't get laid at home and needs to leave the house to gawk at excessively huge tits, then don't waste your time. it's too bad the service is terrible for such a nice place. go somewhere else.

service must have improved. pretty good burger. definitely a guys' place!

the worst bar in winnipeg. went there to get some food at about 9pm and after 20 minutes in line were horrified to find that there was a cover charge and the line at the bar was one of the worst i have ever seen. slow service, worse management. it feels like somebody took everybody in whiskey dix at 1am on a friday night and crammed them in to a space a third of the size. this place is hyped up to be way more than it is, tavern united across the street is a much better bet

so glad i tried it for myself. after reading a bunch of terrible reviews for the shark club i decided it was time that i tried it for myself.. and i'm so glad i did! my meal was excellent! i had the shark burger and it was one of the tastiest burgers i've ever had, i really enjoyed the seasoning on the fries as well. my two girlfriends joined me, one had the garden burger and the other the green thai curry bowl. both were extremely pleased with their dishes as well. i'm so glad we went and tried it for ourselves, and didn't stay away based on the other reviews. the waitresses are quite nice to look at as well.

sharks club winnipeg. went last night for the first time. the atmosphere is electric, lots to watch, the food is very good, good portions and fair prices given the location and visual offerings. steps from the mts centre and a good place to eat, drink before taking in the venue and mts centre entertainment...4 out of 5

the truth hurts. i'm a fat bald slob with no game and i thought this resteraunt was all sizzle with no steak..

generic and tastless. mon the food is actually below average to bad. very generic tasting and bland. i really thought the waitress like liked me.

wing night. wednesday night boasts cheap wings. same size and quality as smitty's only they are 29 cents not 50 and must be ordered in groups of 10. i really enjoyed the cajun flavor and the golden shark, which was a mixture of mustard, bbq, and hot sauce. habanero salt was good if you like really salty food. stay away from the jerk flavor as it was gross. skinny bitch cocktail tasted like water. service was slow but i have a feeling if you're a group of only guys you'll get treated much better. only ate wings so can't comment on other menu items, but i wouldn't mind returning in the future to try other dishes out.

came to the shark club for the opening night of nfl football. not the best decision i have ever made. the service started out ok but our server disappeared before half time. a polite request to have the doorman find our server was successful but then she disappeared again. at least no one drove home under the influence. thank you so much shark club serving staff! ps i wrote this while trying to pay my bill.

worst "sport bar" ever. not sure how they call it a sports bar. tv's showing a game doesn't constitute a sports bar.

had enough time to make an account and write a review in the time i spent waiting for a drink.. no smoking patio have to exit city place entirely.. drinks are expensive also.. slow service

ok for lunch. a group of co-workers and i went here for lunch. the place is pretty nicely done, but it's a bit coolish temperature-wise. the waitresses seem to be the type you see at earl's...all legs. after reading the other reviews here we expected that service would be slow, but it wasn't. our food came fairly quick and everyone liked what they had. the only complaint was that the steak sandwich was a bit small. the prices are much better than tavern across the street. we'll most likely be back since it's so close by to our place of work.

don't wear a jersey to this "sports" bar. the shark club claims to be a sports bar. they even advertise that they are a great place to watch a bomber game. when we showed up with our jerseys on to watch the game the bouncer at the door turned us away claiming that jersey's aren't in this sports bar's dress code (he was wearing black new balance with his $100 dollar suit and extremely rude).

this is the type of establishment that is happy to let in guys dressed in ed hardy or tap out gear but turns away sports jerseys.

we all have jets season tickets and will be avoiding this place. i'd like to be able to have something to eat/drink while wearing my jersey before and after the game.

service is soooooooo slow, the servers are really not that bright. won't be going back, you'll find me at the keg!!

lipstick on a shark. this place certainly looks pretty, but at the end of the day the food and service were questionable. went with a colleague for lunch yesterday. you can't help notice that this place subscribes to an earls/moxies type policy when it comes to hiring their servers. emphasis is on how they look more than their skills. to be fair, our waitress was attentive and friendly but when she reviewed the side-dish options that came with my steak sandwich she neglected to mention that some of them involved a $1-3 additional charge and left us with the impression that any option we chose was included in the menu price. i did go back and look at the menu later and the supplementary charges were indicated, but the server ought to have mentioned it. my sandwich was cooked properly as ordered and was well seasoned but my caesar salad tasted like it was tossed with a lame bottled dressing and the onion rings were a small portion and a little limp. certainly not worth the $3 extra charge versus the "normal" side dishes. there are better options out there.
