been going here since i was a kid. thequalityhasnt changed in over 20 years and neither has the price! easily one of ottawa's best restaurants!

sorry to have to say this... but i gave this place a try after it was recommended by someone who worked nearby and of course after seeing the 94% review it received her in urbanspon. i absolutely love indian food and i was really hoping this was going to be a good.
the owner was very kind and the place was clean however sadly, i was not impressed by anything else. telling me my food with be ready in 30-40secs worried me... i certainly don't mind waiting. the chicken was lowquality- more like brown meat (legs/drumsticks). i got 2 curries with rice and even the chana masala wasn't anything spectacular. i just don't understand how this place gets such high ratings. i want rich flavour and i did not get that here. overall i was very disappointed and i will not return.

shaan curry house. best lamb curry in years. with a finicky tummy from chemo, i can't say how much i enjoyed this dinner. all natural, fresh, gently spicy with goodqualitymeat. what a gem right around the corner. can't recommend it enough.
